  1. OK, so no pause, so I can't look around and plan what I want to do while the game is paused? Well, that's all I need to hear, I guess.

But before I could even post this and stop watching the video, you explain further that it's a card game. Ugh! I won't completely rule out a card-based game – Shadow Empire is technically a card-based game, and I enjoy that – but it's definitely a negative for me. But the pause thing was the deal-breaker.

That's just my own taste, of course. I wish them well. I'm sure many other players will enjoy it.

  2. Two corrections:
    1. The game name is "Dwarven Skykeep" (it's also wrong in your video title and description)
    2. There is no demo available anymore. The one on Steam was taken down. It was so outdated it didn't reflect the state of the game, so it was different than the demo you would have gotten as a YouTuber.

  3. This game could certainly use a meta to unlock costume and building aesthetic unlocks. Like changing the rooms from beige stone to black or red stone. Allowing your wizard to trade his hat for a different hat with a bigger buckle/stars/long point and different colours, same for robe and beard.

  4. I like that you talk about an overview of what you think before breaking into a summary of the game itself. Helps me get a jist of the actual state of the game and if it sounds good, I can invest more time into it.

  5. So building with card, so another spellcaster university. That wasn't very good, you can't control much when your expansion is random, which means it is randomly either too hard or too easy, not very fun.

  6. In 2nd edition, rogue is the "family" of classes that include both bards and thieves. If you have thief skills, you might fit in there.

Original edition thieves are just thieves. There's less fancy stuff to bother with.

  7. My advice to your intro: Don't explain what the game is. Everything else about your intro is really good and tight in my opinion.
But sitting there, seeing only the main menu, while you try to explain how the game is played, what the setting is, how it's different or alike some other game…
If I skip 5 minutes forward, I will see what the game is. Show, don't tell. Or rather in this case, show and tell.
