Can you do more barnnerlord
Owlbeâr!
I suspected that the cub would show up, but didn't want to bring false hope. But another reason to long rest once in a while. 🙂
So happy this series is back, I was a bit worried you'd abandoned it! Friendly reminder to check if companions have something to say even without an exclamation mark over their head, because they often do. That should also help with clearing the story backlog.
Just a reminder Wyll's weapon needs to be rebound after every long rest.
Oh, and I don't think Shadowheart is proficient with tridents by the way. Something to consider before changing weapon.
Spoke too soon. You did miss a minor cut scene w/ same Red Dragon.
A week was a wicked long wait brother !!! Love this series, hope you continue it.
Still is enchanting how differently this game can play out. And oh boy have you got a lot of fun encounters to come.
Don't forget to bind Wyll's weapon at the end of every long rest! Also, make sure that Shadowheart has proficiency with the weapon
You should cast speak with animals, speak with dead, longstrider, aid, before you leave camp.
Be sure to chat with companions even if they don't have an exclamation mark. those usually only appear after a major event (like wyll finding out his father was taken) but most of the time companions still have something to say even without an !. also remember you can swap out companions, feel free to take gale out for a bit to see more of his story and cutscenes!
Took a first day off in weeks today after hitting a work milestone. It made my day that you are continuing this series. Thanks for all your hard work. It's been a real delight watching you enjoy this wonderful game.
WIthout speak with animals the owlbear cub scene has options to hold food on a hand or throw to him. Maybe the two options here were analogical to the other two?
Also, when sending things from containers to camp when you click on the last one when holding shift it will select all
For some reason all fires in Waukeen's Rest produce electrified steam when extinguished. Don't know why, makes no sense
Excellent episode. The own bear was just guilty conscious – a dream.
With regards to toxins on your weapons, you can apply them as a bonus action in combat.
Don't worry about the Owlbear, Shadowheart always scares it away the first time
Heck yeah!!!! I was so sure the owl bear cub would pop up, and was just as excited as Party to see them at camp. Though also completely disappointed in Shadowheart, how could she! Honestly feel like that was showing a side of her that Beâr would find a bit of a shocking revelation of her character that might make him a little less interested in perusing anything romantic with her. Though I may be projecting haha.
On a later note, absolutely loved the way that finding the dragon played out. Going to scout what's happening and just nopeing out of dealing with that right now. Like we are a curious group, prone to leaning into exploring tangents, but still with a sense of self preservation.
Also had a strong Beâr like response to the Waukeen's Rest situation, me sitting here like "Why are you so sure it's going to be a fight Party? They just look like fire fighters." The eternally optimistic adventurer is often a dead adventurer cause they don't have a PartyElite looking after them haha.
Edit: Meant to say as well, I'm loving the wee B story you have going with Astarion, busy camping out in case things went sidewise and then Wyll suddenly blasts through the door next to you and sends out a persona saves from the fire that Astarion needs to check in with now. Only to find the guy is dealing with great grief and survivors guilt, for that to chime with some of the things he has been picking up from Beâr and then to take the opportunity for kindness and show actual personal growth. Though in looking after this poor grief stricken man and having a true personal breakthrough (while surely congratulating himself on said breakthrough), Astarion is completely oblivious to huge revelations happening with the group and only realised the fire rescue was over when he returned to the courtyard and found his companions had headed back to camp.
Great episode!!! Thanks
I think your best bet is to spam long rest now before you move area not very immersive but else your going to miss out on a lot of story
