here is a village on the outskirts of Kolkata that has dedicated itself to terracotta art.
We went during the rains but it is most advisable to go during the winter. This place is ideal for a day trip.
You can reach this village within a two hours drive from Kolkata. From my hometown Barasat, the drive is just 15 mins. you can buy clay sculptures and utensils.
