  1. A quick tip: name the dupes using 3 digit pattern, e.g. 001, 002, …, 010,…
This way they will be sorted correctly once they reach 100+ number.

  2. Given my fake medical degree, I'd rather keep a hobbie hat on. Fewer awkward questions along the lines of "Oh, you are a doctor! Which med school did you go to?" >.<

  3. Volcano inside the main base? I guess it could be used as a power source via steam turbines? Plus food for hatches. But that's a long way to go, given lack of oil and glossy dreckos.

  4. Seems you've got into higher quality food stuffs, good. As for the excess water from your bathrooms, I normally use it to feed a few bristle blossoms to supplement my food production. I prefer to use pips to plant some thimblereed instead and create a nature reserve in the process, but your use of the water makes sense considering the limitations.

  5. My technique for loud sleepers is to put them onto a different work schedule so they can sleep in the same spaces as everyone else. It's the same with Nyctophobes, but they get a light and a cycle timer.

  6. Awesome quote from a truly amazing song, just in case anyone here is into Tool, A Perfect Circle did a really nice cover of Imagine, it's darker sounding but not heavy, meant to show disappointment that the world still hasn't taken John Lennon's advice

  7. quick tip I learnt from watching Rhadamant, if you set the area around where you know the buried volcano/geyser is to emergency priority (or whatever the setting is that sets off the alarm) then if you put the cursor over the tooltip/warning label (on the left side of the screen) it will tell you what type of volcano/geyser is hidden there.

  8. Hiya! Mashbybot here, Mechatronics Engineer and Power Plant Foreman. Looks like you've got a minor volcano there which would be great for plastic production when you find an oil source. Or, geothermal energy is clean and efficient if you've got the proper investment in research! Looking forward to becoming part of the crew!

  9. Since you are gonna need a lot of stuff for 150 dupes (especially room) i would reccomend making rocket modules living spaces this way it is a win situation and you will have enough space for for bigger builds. You can also do the same with dusk caps, very easy to make a co2 atmosphere with the coal gen

  10. With the long ladder segments, I'd like to recommend using "No Drop" mod: forces all dupes to hang on to whatever they're carrying until they're standing on a tile. No more dropping important foods or resources to the bottom of the map. The mod also has a minimal impact on frames.

  11. Echo – really looking forward to watching this one through..

Depending on luck, and CPU, I think reaching 150 sustainable dupes could be harder than your super hard mode challenge.. Space isn’t your issue, food can be free (pacu), but Oxygen, is not included.

I did some random viewings of terra maps in toolsnotincluded (not this one map, no spoilers). And they seem to range between 6 and 12t of water per cycle. For 150 dupes you need >10t water electrolysed a cycle… so if you roll lucky, no worries.. if you rolled unlucky.. well.. this will be interesting…

I guess the dupes will pee out about an extra tonne of water a cycle…

  12. not going to lie you are doing great I am going to sub because of your technical explanations for everything I have no clue how to play this game but watching you makes the game palatable for a average viewer

  13. You may have already received this feedback and made a change in later videos but this series is very awkward to watch for someone who is not familiar with ONI mechanics. Very often you'll describe a problem and then say you're using some solution for it, but I have no idea why that works, or what those machines do, and often what half of the words you used describing the problem even mean…pretty uncomfortable.

  14. Snoring dupes are no problem. I put them in a schedule where it doesn't sleep with it's cot neighbors. and that's it. So I assign them a cot that is surrounded by already taken cots, and the owners are in a different schedule. And I leave them be
