  1. I love the touch of the music starting at the end as you close on "it's gonna be great"
This is one of those games that I wish I could go and experience for the first time again and again, and watching you enjoy it, and appreciate the effort they've put it is the next best thing

  2. So.. New tier for wall of dungeons.. Trash, Lame, Grindable, Banger, Epic and Dungeon Dive as the highest tier because it gets its own video.

For the record, Art Rants are always welcomed by the FFXIV community, because there is so many art forms in FFXIV that get shown, and no one points them out. Please continue to waive your nerd flags high!

  3. I dont know if its a spoiler ,but I dont remember MSQ talking about it, but little fun fact.
But cant exactly remember where I read it but people of the first named them Sin Eaters becuz their appearance reflect their soul in a way. Like more pure someone is the more beautiful they look as Sin Eaters and more corrupt and unpure someone is, more grotesque and powerful they will become when turned into a Sin Eater, thus having their Sin eaten and serving the light in a way. Or thats what the people of the first believed.
Which always reminds me of the sin eater ladies in the Eulmore, and that makes me sad.

  4. This was absolutely an amazing video. LOVED it. More more more like this <3 The art part was extremely interesting and I hope you'll continue to analyze the art aspects in the future videos too. I've rarely seen that done in this manner with much and more interresting takes and opinions. I'll be hyping this up with my friends so much.

  5. Love the M:TG reference there and all your insights on things; makes your videos even more interesting!

Looking forward to you guys finishing SHB and the pre EW stuff and beyond. You guys are in for quite the ride, and I'm here for it!

  6. One extra bit of a nice touch during the Tesleen fight. She isn't actually all gone yet. When she speaks in those grunts and growls, she thrashes around for a few seconds and effectively stuns herself. Meaning, of course, that she is still in there somewhere, struggling.
    Its just so good.

  7. I hope you two continue doing this occasionally. Cause there’s a couple of dungeons in Endwalker & ShadowBringers that I’d love to hear you both go into detail about.

Also the most shocking thing I learned from this video is that triple triad cards can have lore on them. Of all the things to make me wanna collect them, it’s not the really nice mount you can get, it’s possibly juicy lore lol 😭😭😭

  8. The stillness is due to the overabundance of light, it's honestly really interesting how this expac tries to talk about how light isn't just good and awesome and how bad the world is without having darkness to balance it

  9. As a bit of information for Garrett about some of his artistic critiques, I would point out that this whole world is overrun with light which is wrecking havoc on the fundamental aspects of nature. You might have also noticed in Kholusia how the waves barely moved. There being very little wind is another symptom of everything being over-aspected towards light.

  10. Listening to the art part of the video makes me curious what Garret would say about GW2. The visual style of the game took a while to grow on me, but it always felt different in a way I don't know enough to explain. I'd love to hear him break down/critique how they do it.

  11. "It was a mic drop moment."
Oh, you ain't seen shit yet. They've got entire shipping crates full of mics – and that's before you get to the cargo ship full they needed for Endwalker.

  12. Hmhmm… agreed about atmo perspective… Shadowbringers is when they finally stopped actively relaying on the weather system to create the atmo that was so lacking before. Especially since the weather atmo system was a heavily varied weather system that was 75% sunny everywhere.
