Dude a retcon stands for a change to past events/continuity to serve a new narrative. In this game they strictly kept continuity so much so that Mickey lost his f**king shirt.
I don't feel this is a retcon, but rather a case of extreme shoehorning by restricting the agency of a new character. A retcon would be if she had been part of the story, or by coming in to suddenly changing the events. Mickey is a c* though
And Mickey gets so much flack for knowing about this for a full year and not saying anything because… aside from the Door to Darkness he had to seal shut, then he ends up in Castle Oblivion with Riku and gets dragged into Ansem DiZ's plans and the Organization's scheme, and only after that and the Mark of Mastery, states he didn't immediately tell Sora and Riku because they would most likely try to go rushing in keys akimbo and lose their hearts in less than 5 minutes flat? Given how Sora and Riku were starting out, he's not wrong about those two being reckless…
Even then the blame for Aqua is kinda overblown. Hell, Mickey rightfully points out that the DtD only lets beings of pure darkness out, so he and Aqua can't just walk through, and let's not forget that Mickey literally states he spent so much time thinking of a way to get into the Realm of Darkness and get Kingdom Key D that he honestly forgot to plan his way out once he got it, and even then found Aqua by pure chance at that, since as far as he or anyone knew, she just disappeared, vanished without a trace after leaving with Ventus… Even a decade, Mickey's still the same mouse from Birth by Sleep who just rushed out of Yen Sid's tower with a Star Shard in hand and no proper way to control it till near the end. That said, Mickey still gets judged way too harshly. That's not even getting into a certain cutscene in 3 that I genuinely despise, and I think you might know which one…
I will say the only snarl in continuity with Mickey is that Mickey losing his shirt to the Demon Tide is supposed to explain why he looked like his normal modern self at the end of 1, but they gave him his KH2 shoes, which don't line up with his classic shoes.

It's actually the opposite of a retcon, to a severe and silly degree.
Comparing the realm of darkness to chicago fucking killed me lmao
