  1. Keeping the Lone Defender alive still alludes me….

Was a space whale this time, just a lone space whale!
Why, oh why, must you 'Defend' the last AI of your kind to oblivion?

To be fair, whomever lived on that world prior could have been on this list.
If they programed that ship to think like they do, it explains the tomb world.

  2. Looking at the new administration's first actions, which include deprioritizing the planet-threatening problem of climate change or defunding the WHO after a pandemic had just shown how destructive it can be, it seems more and more like we are one of these bafflingly stupid empires destroying themselves for no reason at all other than "their leaders and those electing them were stupid". A shame.

  3. Oh, I know this one.

LoL hello. We pissed off the nearby forgotten empire and they laid waste to us.
Would you accept us as a tribute?

    The next day.

Hello, we have pissed off the nearby empire again and now they are coming for your capital world.

  4. Prikki-Ti is probably a reference to the Krikkit from Hitchiker's Guide, another genocidal race imprisoned in a time loop on their planet by the victors of a vast galactic conflict against them.
