Dulce Base : The Origins of an ALIEN Conspiracy…

On the Jicarilla Apache Reservation in Northern New Mexico sits the small community of Dulce. Since the late 1970’s it’s become a landmark in the strange world of UFO conspiracy theories, up there with the likes of Area 51 thanks to horrifying tales of alien bases underneath Mount Archuleta. But the real story of Dulce has its roots in the cattle mutilation wave of the mid to late 1970s.

It was these mutilations that caught the attention of UFO researcher Paul Bennewitz, and an Air Force Office of Special Investigations disinformation campaign would help secure Dulce’s place in UFO history.

This documentary will focus on how the myths around Dulce began in the mid seventies, so if you’re looking to hear about Phil Schneider’s missing fingers and an underground alien war then you might be disappointed. But to really understand those stories which, rest assured, I’ll be covering in later episodes, you need to know how it all began with one terrified phone call on June 13th, 1976.

  10. The idea of nuclear, biological, psychological, and technological testing, especially in someone’s backyard, without consent is way scarier than being visited by aliens. We are the ‘guinea pigs,’ and we don’t even know it. Now if you excuse me I am going to be making a new tin hat to sleep in tonight.

  11. Well, I think you solved it. Testing cow tissue for radiation poisoning. The fact they collected the thyroid supports this, I think.
    Never knew about the underground nuke explosion in CO used to frak the gas. Yikes.
