Drone reveals damage in Gaza after Israeli strikes

Aerial footage shot on Tuesday (October 10) showed the extent of damage after Israel pounded the enclave with the fiercest air strikes in the 75-year history of its conflict with the Palestinians.

Israel said on Tuesday it had reclaimed control of the Gaza border and has vowed to take its โ€œmighty revengeโ€ since gunmen rampaged through its towns, leaving streets strewn with bodies in by far the deadliest attack in its history.

It has called up hundreds of thousands of reservists and placed the Gaza Strip, crowded home to 2.3 million people, under a total siege.

Israeli media said the death toll from the Hamas attacks had climbed to 900 people, mostly civilians gunned down in their homes, on the streets or at a dance party, dwarfing the scale of any past attack by Islamists apart from 9/11. Scores of Israelis were taken to Gaza as hostages, with some paraded through the streets.

Nearly 700 Gazans have since been killed in Israeli strikes, according to Gaza officials, while whole districts in Gaza have been flattened.

  1. They have been living in a ghetto for decades, no food no power no future, nothing. Just like the Warsaw ghetto. The jews also stood up against their suppressors almost 80 years ago.and rightly so. History is repeating itself. Nothing has been learned.

  2. Hamas has 1 percent of resources as compared to israel. What happend in israel was the reaction of israel's actions. Its basic principle you cannot cage millions of people and expect brutality to be answered with flowers.

  3. I'm really sorry for the Palestinians. They will loose even the territory they have now. Every time Israel go to war, always take more lands. Really sorry for the people who has to soffer this ..from both sides. I pray for the peace but I already know that it will not be in Palestinian side.

  5. Black people have been killed brutally and wrongfully every year, most of us are blind to that too, it is not only houses that are been destroyed, I condem all and any terror. My question is, What WAS ISREAL EXPECTING? when you hold a city hostage, Walls, patrols, checkpoints, Basically a prison camp, even the children hate them, When you embarass a father in front of their children, you basically ingrain hate trama in them, then you wonder why today we are where we are
