Yes, Die Hard is a Christmas Movie. So is Violent Night, and also Red One. 🤪
yes its a xmas movie
easy like xmas morning
ultra karaoke is gonna be a thing
I would recommend grabbing Burnout Reactors and blast radius up to Rupture. The radius and damage from Terminal Velocity and Self Destruct scale with your blast effects. Even Deflagration works, cause the fire from Burnout Reactors. Staying at max range also helps with your drone damage cause the farther they travel, the faster the fly, the more damage on contact. The blast radius also handle swarms well.
On the flip side, I never thought of nanotech guardians for the stacking buff on occasion.
Edit: Update on this, yeah, Nanotech made this much stronger. And yeah, Deflagration solves the swarm problem you had.
By the LoZ randomizer you mentioned. Are you guys talking about the one you did ~7 bloody years ago? Or is there a different one?
I did see the rougue like one ya two did a few months ago and that was very entertaining.
I'm a little curious about how well a coop run in 7 Days to Die would go with you two. For Christmas movies, maybe A Christmas Horror Story. Very Christmassy.
Getting to 19 levels and then dying is such a tease 😅
Build Suggestion: You should do a torrent barrage build with siege weaponry and make the game cry (lag out like crazy) assault body and ALL the doble taps possible
16:38 I've always wondered: do things like Elegant Construction scale retroactively off of your level, or do they only scale off of levels gained after you grab them? I would assume the former, but…
I think you guys forgot Burnout Reactors
Speaking of randomizers id love to see you guys do a randomized Pokemon. A normal nuzelocke or even a soul link would be super cool with your guy's commentary
Also with the whole diehard doctor metaphor i think of it like how everyone with a phd is a doctor but if you get asked if theres a doctor on board a plane you woudnt put your hand up as an archeologist. So diehard is a christmas movie, but its not a Christmas movie.
It sounds like James needs to rewatch Diehard in order to get in the Christmas Spirit
I want to watch James fail at Metroid wall jumps. Also if you guys did a series of dnd videos I would watch that.
Yes, Die Hard IS a Christmas movie.
James, it's a movie set on christmas, full of christmas things, with christmas music. The villains plan involves ruining other people's Christmas, and the main character stops it. McClane restoring his relationship with his estranged wife is a major part of the story.
Sure, it's not a movie that's fundamentally about christmas, but in reality, basically nobody has that as a requirement for a christmas movie… Consider: even A Christmas Carol isn't /about/ christmas, it's about a guy learning that valuing money above the health and welfare of people results in you being hated and dying alone, unloved and forgotten. you can drop every christmas detail about that story and change nothing. Same with It's a Wonderful Life and many other classic entirely undisputed christmas films.
ZELDA RANDOMIZER
Because friends are missiles too.
I think James finally found the right mix of excitement, despair, and volume in that initial "nOvA dRiFt!" yodel. Practice makes perfect!
Here lies Ultra C killed by James unable to accept die hard as a Christmas movie.
I enjoy doing a similair build along with your videos.
Okay, James. Hear me out.
On Christmas Eve, John McClane travels from New York to LA to reunite with his estranged spouse Holly (named after a berry associated with Christmas) and rejoin his family, which he's been separated from for six months due to a prior disagreement. He gets a ride in a limo and meets Argyle, a young man trying to move up in the world and fairly new to his current job. Argyle quickly figures John out, but offers his hospitality as a gesture of holiday goodwill.
John arrives at Nakatomi plaza and Argyle parks below the building to wait. As a blue-collar professional (a cop), John's uncomfortable with the corporate environment of Holly's company party, and he bristles at Ellis, a clearly wealthy and successful (if drug-addicted) corporate professional who's trying to make moves on Holly. John and Holly have a brief conversation where they admit their feelings for each other, but old arguments and tensions resurface and it ends in an argument. John breaks away from the party, trying to regain his composure and calm his nerves.
Suddenly, a very tense situation develops in the tower, and John is spurred to action, relying on his professional skills to try and resolve the issue. He makes several attempts to reach help, getting brushed off until Sgt. Al Powell shows up and John manages to get his attention. Sgt. Powell has his own personal struggles, but the two men quickly build mutual trust and rapport. Throughout the movie, Al provides emotional support and encouragement to John while he works toward a resolution to the problem facing the people at the Christmas party. The movie reaches a climax where Holly is in imminent danger and John manages to save her just in time.
At the end of the movie, John's new friend Al manages to overcome his own emotional issues to help John one more time, and Argyle drives both John and Holly home to enjoy Christmas together with their children.
