Driverless suspension train starts trial run in central China city, Wuhan

A glass-bottom suspended train in Wuhan, China is undergoing passenger trials ahead of a planned opening later this year.

Sporting a white and light blue futuristic design, the hanging train travels at 60 kilometers per hour and can accommodate 220 passengers.

There are 27 kilometers of track for the completely automated train with personnel available only for emergency scenarios.

Designed for both commuting and sightseeing, the hanging train offers spectacular views through its floor and side windows.

Officials have said the train represents an important step in the city’s efforts to explore low-carbon urban rail transit options.

  1. In the country I live in, there is an ancient saying that "China will bring us peace and prosperity". From what I have seen in today's China, I believe this is increasingly the case.
