Drilling on Mars Unleashes an Ancient Virus That Turns Astronauts Into Zombies.
In 2040, the Tantalus base on Mars hosts eight astronauts on a six-month mission. On the last day, Vincent, Rebecca, and Kim face a sandstorm while collecting samples. They discover signs of microbial life, but the situation precipitates when Marko, violating protocol, falls into a sinkhole and becomes infected. The infection quickly spreads among the crew members, turning them into aggressive creatures. Between attacks and desperate escapes, Vincent is the only survivor. After eliminating an infected comrade, Vincent plans to crash-land the Aurora ship on Mars to prevent the infection from returning to Earth.
