In Dreamscaper, your character lives a very isolated and depressing life. She finds repressed memories and motivation to become happier while in her dreams, where she also gains supernatural powers/weapons (and a good bit of them). These are used to defeat bosses who are depicted as insecurities, such as fear, regret or even resentment. Whenever a boss is beaten, she seems to gain the mental power to overcome these problems that are inside of her, in order to become a happier and better person.
There are 6 main bosses in total with a variety of different enemies you face along the way. It can get pretty difficult at points, permadeath being the main factor. But, you can collect and store different abilities and weapons that you can use for your next run, which makes things easier. Anyone who is looking for a short but difficult game, with cool bosses, weapons and abilities, should play this game.
