Dramatic moment postman pushed onto tracks at Oxford Circus – before daring rescue

This is the moment a homeless man pushed a postman on to the Tube tracks at Oxford Circus station because he thought he had been given a “dirty look”.

Brwa Shorsh, 24, was sleeping on a bench on the Victoria line platform when he suddenly leapt up and shoved Tadeusz Potoczek off the platform.

Mr Potoczek, who was wearing his distinctive red Royal Mail uniform, was able to clamber back on to the platform with the help of a quick-thinking members of the public, just as a train entered the station.

Shorsh, a Kurdish migrant, admits shoving Mr Potoczek but denies attempted murder, insisting he had not intended to harm him.

The incident happened on February 3, as Mr Potoczek, 61, made his way home from work.

Giving evidence at Inner London crown court, Shorsh said he was “angry” after seeing three women on an earlier train who he believed had laughed at him for being homeless.

He told police when he was quizzed about the incident that he believed Mr Potoczek had given him a “dirty look”, and Shorsh told the court he believed the other man had been “very disrespectful to me”.

“You pushed a man in front of a train for looking at you. Do you think that was an appropriate reaction?”, asked prosecutor Sam Barker.

  1. Tories caused all this chaos so that people were too busy worrying about being mercked by a random to care that the country was being pillaged by them and their 'Brexiteer' cronies in the Tory media.

  2. Tadeusz Potoczek, 61, was minding his own business on his way home from work when homeless Brwa Shorsh, 24, shoved him into the path of an oncoming train.

So, the East European migrant postal worker was push onto the track by the Kurdish homeless person because he thought he gave him an "ugly" look.

Migrants aren't all the same. Some have a level of culture similar to the UK and some come from countries where the mere thought of a wrong look could get you killed.

Brexit eliminated the access for Europeans who could integrate and opened a rather bizarre path of movement for people from savage cultures, where honour killings are still the norm.

Defence counsel Tim Brown told the jury on Wednesday it cannot be disputed that Shorsh pushed Mr Potoczek.

He also said it is clear that the defendant, who was seen smiling in the dock throughout the trial, has shown no remorse for his actions.

  3. For the life off Me with this happening more frequently I don't understand how there's not some barrier beside tracks that then open when train stops it's easy for someone to push anyone it's scary and shocking

  4. The astonishingly destructive power of a flawed moral code is evident here. The altruist moral code is corroding everything because it dismisses the value of human flourishing as mere self-interest. It fails to recognize the effort of living as a virtue. This disconnect from reality leaves its principles without boundaries—how can one determine what constitutes 'too much' altruism? One can't, because the principle doesn't relate to reality, so one just keeps giving to the underdog even until the living have nothing left to give but their lives.
