Painting: The Lament for Icarus by Herbert James Draper
In Greek mythology, Icarus was the son of the master craftsman Daedalus, the creator of the Labyrinth for King Minos of Crete. Although originally built to imprison the Minotaur (a half-man, half-bull monster), the Labyrinth later became Daedalus’s own prison when Minos had him confined there.
Icarus and Daedalus attempted to escape from Crete by means of wings that Daedalus constructed from feathers and wax. Icarus, however, ignored Daedalus’ instructions not to fly too close to the sun, causing the wax in his wings to melt. He fell out of the sky, plunged into the sea, and drowned. The myth gave rise to the idiom “don’t fly too close to the sun”.

This playlist is also really good for thrillers. Current story is set in a town where the ghost of a murder victim returns for revenge on her killer, leading to betrayal, tragedy, revenge, and everyone being trapped in a web of lies and greed. I've fallen in love with classical music thanks to you, Halidon.
모차르트는 정말 천재에요
Been using this as my berserk reading playlist
I listen to this when I play ramatra or lifeweaver on OW
I may tell my kids that before they contemplate marrying someone, listen to Adagio for Strings with them. If they are not moved to tears, do not marry them. They wouldn’t have the passion and emotion necessary to be a good spouse to my kids.
am i the only one that wants to turn into a giant lizzard and flatten a city while listening to this 😭💀
lacrimosa <3
Playing this on a Bluetooth speaker while my cousins strangle each other

listenig and playing battlefield 1 at same time 🙂
I feel like a Shostakovich movement would work in a future compilation–maybe the 1st, 3rd, or 4th movements from his fifth symphony?
It's crazy how these songs aren't actually sad but in context it's heartbreaking.
