So for the Spellbound and Sorcerers Appraisal quest, do you need to complete Sorcerers Appraisal right after the girl in Spellbound has to wake up or before you learn Meteoron? I completed Spellbound then went and did Appraisal and you have to choose an option on where you learned Meteoron from. Both answers will make it so he doesnt give you Maelstrom
EDIT: I found that you need to have her ring equipped and then to tell him that the girl taught you the spell. If you dont have it equipped/in your inventory OR you dont tell him, he wont give you Maelstrom
