  1. "I want my turtle, where is he?" I thought she was joking but sounded dead serious- it´s very sweet she came to the conclusion to keep it.
Man, when the work on the hook began- I needed to skip that. Can´t watch that.
I have some thoughts about the fisher who hooked this guy. If the turtle just was cut loose and left on its own- that´s disgusting.
If the line was ripped and the fisher only found the hook gone- well, that´s unfortunate.
But since I´ve seen how cute these turtles are in mating season I like them very much. The male (i guess) was doing what looked like a La Òla wave with the front paws(?)- it was soo cute. With this motion one turtle circled the other.
I saw them in a pet shop (a good one) that had to close years ago and they were only given together, they were a pair. Such great creatures.
I have fish and cats- that´s enough but I also love turtles.

  2. Next time you have to remove a fish hook from a turtle or others, take snippers and cut the hook part off, the the rest comes out much easier and doesn't leave a hole. I saw that on Bondi Vet of Australia and they figured it out and sure enough it was much easier to remove the fishing hook. I wouldn't be surprised if that wouldn't work when trying to get a fishing hook off of a human. Just an idea. Can't hurt to try it. God bless.
