  2. Whenever I hear / see the term modern audience, I imagine some hillbilly sitting around on his porch with a grey beard and a Mason jar of shine. I think he ain't it, we sure are though.

  3. The Monkey king staff forged the milky way.
It was a gift from the dragon king.
Check out a TV show called monkey from 1978.
I used to love it as a lad. Would beat my grandad across the shins with a broom while calling my flying cloud ๐ŸŒจ๏ธ

  5. Let me tell you, the beginning scene is IMPRESSIVE – seeing how huge they are. Even I"m blown away with those visuals.
It reminded me of the Stone creature in Lara Croft Tomb Raider movie where it becomes animated. Huge.

  6. While I'm happy that this game is doing so well, I have my doubts that this will be the blueprint for other companies on how to deal with SBI and the likes. The thing is, when you are a Chinese company making a game based on Chinese mythology, you inherently have that huge player base that you can rely on (and it's evident that most of those record-breaking numbers come from China, judging by how drastically player count dropped last night when it was bedtime in Asia). Most people in China probably never heard about SBI, neither do they read IGN or Kotaku, so the devs were risking absolutely nothing by telling them to take a hike. When you are a western company, howewer, you do not have that asian player base behind you, and you live in a super-sensitive society, where your whole career and life can be destroyed just because of some fake allegations or something. That's why I fully expect that most western devs will continue to suffer under SBI's yoke for quite a while.
