"I can't leave him … until I get revenge!"😢😡💀
I don't get the first story.
Was it smart for the kids not to intervene because the woman could get a clue and leave her abusive boyfriend?
When trying get a date say "Pull my finger."
I'm a cop, I side with the guy unless the girl's legit beaten in a way she would never have the fortitude to do to herself.
That, or the beating is on camera/multiple witnesses.
Otherwise, "ya on ya own toots"
If it is he said she said, not good enough, neither is that little red mark on her cheek.
It's like, look broad,
This guy is 6' 2" 225lbs and she is saying he "punched" her in the face?
Yeah, right.
Her eye socked would be shattered, not a red mark on the cheek.
Wow, that first story is from 45 years ago…how certain things do not change.
Abused men are often not victims, as well, but, volunteers,. . . .all in the name of love.
Once she's a victim. Twice she's a volunteer.
Since I began carrying a handgun I've had to learn that lesson. I used to stop and help people all the time. Now if I feel like I just call it in and keep going.
Ride to the rescue ? LOL I wouldn't step over a goddamn puddle at this point to fight for or save anyone on this planet.
Another big problem with the "ride to the rescue" thing is, there are a lot of situations where it could be a setup. You try to help, and the next thing you know the 304 threatens to tell the cops that you attempted to pick grapes, and the guy threatens tell the cops that he was trying to defend her from your attempt to steal her grapes (goddamn YT algorithm). Unless, of course, you pony up whatever cash or property they demand, e.g., money, car, jewelry, etc. Look up "badger game" for an explanation of how this works. In ancient times, not wanting to get involved was looked down upon as cowardly. Now, it's the smartest course of action.
Eighth grade education and street smart. Better than a college degree.
I rode to the rescue once back in the 80s. I was going to karate class and in the parking lot across the street a guy was roughing up his girl pretty good. I answered her calls for help and got the boyfriend on the ground. That's when she jumped me from behind and tore into me about hurting her boyfriend. He came back around on me and between the two I lost. Lesson learned.
More people get killed for stepping in than the people involved in the initial altercation. A fist & gravity can kill you.
Right on point!
You are not 'Captain Sav-A-Ho' and you can't shake the HoTree expecting a GF (or wife) to fall out…but you may break a branch that crushes you.
Never try to be the 'White Knight'. That woman you see as a 'damsel in distress' could be a shape-shifting fire-breathing dragon… remember that you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
20 years ago a cop neighbor told me the first time a woman calls the cops for a DV she’s a victim after that she is a co-conspirator. Women are offered a shit ton of assistance getting away from these guys and they almost always stay or soon return to the bad boy. This cop told me he had one woman who he had been on DV calls for with 3 different guys.
Another neighbor same place had his fiancé leave him for a bad boy one week before the wedding making him look like a total fool. She shows up on his doorstep one cold rainy night a couple years later with bad boys infant boy in tow out of options with all that she owned in her vehicle. Bad boy had gotten himself killed I forget how. Neighbor guy not only takes her back but marries her and raises the kid as his own. He paid for everything and she played the devoted dutiful wife for about 3 years then left him probably for another bad boy. I didn’t feel too bad for him just for the kid who’s life was getting jerked around. I’m beta male provider material much like the neighbor but at least I was smart enough to realize marriage would be a train wreck for me so I stayed single no kids. Best decision I ever made.
