Don't Play Rolex's Games. Get one of these.

What do you do when you want the look, but can’t bear to spend the $14,000+ that one of these will cost you? Simple, get a homage! Homage watches aim to get you the look for less, much less.

Check out these models, and if you want to buy one, you can!

  1. I've been really happy with my perpetual explorer (oyster explorer?) homage which is apparently one of the last Islander Manhassets with the cream dial– and I'm not sure i would replace it with either rolex it's reminiscent of, even if I had the money.

  2. Frankly, 95% of dive watches look 95% alike. So as far as copying the look goes, I’m not going to lose any sleep over it. But $900 with that Seiko movement? That’s just silly.

  3. If you want a Rolex and you can’t afford one get a super clone. I’ve tried every homage and it never feels right. I’ve tried Pagoni, Steinhart, Invicta, Cronos and it always feels wrong. But my super clone is exactly what I want. It feels great to wear it and I can’t stop looking at it. If a had the money to responsibly buy a submariner I’d do it. But a super clone at around $800 makes sense. I get the look and the feel along with a quality timepiece without taking food from my kids mouths. And at the end of the day nobody cares about YOUR watch but other watch people. And when asked I always say it’s a clone.

  4. Rolex doesn’t play games. They make watches. Some AD’s plays games but there are only so many to go around so it’s not Rolex’s fault. I’m exhausted by this rhetoric. It will be nice when the new Rolex factory gets completed.

  5. OMG get the Cronos version for $200. It WAS actually tested to 3000m and the overall fit and finish is fantastic. Plus it's available with a PT500, so you get a 28,800 movement.

  6. Mark,
I just saw your video, it seems like a detailed, great looking watch. My wrist is exactly your size. That said, can I pull off wearing it? The Islander Kings Point is an option. I would appreciate your opinion. Thank you, Happy New Year.

  7. This is nice but the diameter, thickness and weight are negatives for me. Frankly, an Orient carries the look without the excess. Sounds like Duxot has a better bracelet. Still. Doesn’t warrant the list price.
