I just think amanda is like a demon or something as seen in a short you didnt show where there was multiple other gender bended amanda charecters, (without animexia if memory serves I might add) where they progress through different characters turning them anime till it gets to amanda where she just gets angry, turns into a demon, and breaks the camera. Which means it does have multiple caviats and may not work, in addition, I think the bit about demexia is simply to stand up to pochis robots, since obviously everybody before this got destroyed, whereas red, on the other hand, was able to overpower it, In addition, if the demexia was supposed to counter animexia, why didnt it work on the rainbow freinds when they took it? And to the addiction part, If thats the case, then they would have stopped feeling the addiction while on demexia, if its effects were indeed strong enough to stop the addiction on red, then it should have had a similar impact here, at least to a degree, this would also mean the demexia would still be in reds bloodstream, and, consequentially, in the color gangs bloodstream, meaning they would all have be present to both sides of the drug (Its called a drug cause thats the medical term for things like that) Which would mean, logically, unless there was something else, they should have also turned out like red, but they didnt. thats all I have to say.
