When the men of the nonprofit Solstice Sanctuary, called to rescue a donkey in distress, they arrived on the spot and find the animal in a terrible state…
Their first thought was that the donkey would not survive, but that they would do everything they could to save him.
He was weak and couldn’t stand on his own due to ill-treatment and the torture suffered in the farm where he lived.
Irvin, after several weeks of treatment and with the help of a volunteer manages to take his first stunted steps.
A small win for the staff, but a big win for Irvin!
After a month, Irvin seems to have regained the desire to live and starts running happily through the fields.
He has found wonderful people who love him and make him to feel at home.
Irvin is sociable with all animals, is very clever and knows how to be respected on the farm.
Irvin left behind a life of hardship and mistreatment that had almost killed him.
Today he is a happy and owes all this to those who saved his life.
