does crop insurance help cover what you lose when you have a dry year like this and only get about half as much as you'd get in an average year?
Long time fan of the videos. Great example of the American farm family. Especially like the BB tractors…..the Fiat combines, not so much.
Have you guys tried any fall applied residuals like valor or sulfentrazone on your pea ground? it seems like it would a worth while investment judging by the kochia you are fighting.
It is so important to allow the children on the combines and machinery and let them learn what you're doing. I started driving tractor when I was 12. Enjoy seeing what Dryland farmers are going in your part of the country. We're down here in Florida, still have 92 degrees everyday. Karl Hamilton
Whatโs the working width on yโallโs headers?

Accidents will happen.
You can try to avoid them as much as you can but they will happen.
And there's nothing you can do about it.
You just have to learn from it and maybe it will be better next time.๐
Thanks a lot for the video! ๐๐๐๐ป๐๐ป
what kind of dog is maverick
Don't let it get you down, Scott. Anyone who has ran equipment has made a mistake like that, especially when working long days. It can all be fixed and nobody got hurt–thats all that matters
Well sir I am gonna subscribe fun talking farmer with people who think k I shouldn't know farming lol legarms makes me sound smart
โคโคโคseeing the family and children for sure. Kids are cool
In a year or two the grandkids will be like im going take cliford to start the pea crop, don't forget to bring me a juice.
How is the pheasant population around Conrad looking this year?
that's why u need guards in ur expensive equipment.. so it's protected against accident and hidden obstacles
Love how the frame flexes on them old cornbinders, roll a little coal, have a little flex
why don't you run a grain cart or chaser bin to improve harvest efficiency
We got our potatoes ๐ฅ out of the ground little early. They needed a month to finish growing. But we saved them from getting burned up in the ground. If we had rain an normal weather. We would have double our crop for 2023. We are not doing a fall crop . Ground way to hard an been extremely to hot ๐ฅ. 100 to 108 here in East Texas. 16 days of it .
Low yielding and using a case combaine. Bet you did your winter seeding aswell ๐
Farming, Gotta Love It!
Glad to see your pea harvest is done, sorry to see the poor yields. Nothing like having kids riding in the cab, I don't think I could have gotten 3 into my old combine but having one was still fun. Would not allow a dog in there with me, though. We drove US 2 from Minnesota to Everett WA and saw crops very different from what we grow in Indiana. I could recognize oats and wheat and what I thought was canola in bloom but I don't know what else I saw. Looked like legumes but hard to tell from the road. Hope you all start getting regular rains out there in the future.
I was wondering how well the combine separates the green weed seed from the peas?
What would be your minimal B.P.A. on a year like this to break even or just ahead, 7-10??? I vote LAKE.
15:00 that's what the wheat in northeast Colorado looked like.
What chemical do you use to KILL cocha?
Hello I'm french and I see all your videos and whu do you don't spray roundup before on your weed peas fields?
Hope you will answer.
God bless your family, gid bless America ๐บ๐ธ
Hey
My centre canvas had the same issue , splines ripped out of the canvas roller and stopped spinning ๐
What wonderful cinematography! Great work, Nick and team.
Im gonna ask a dumb question but why don't you do a desication pass with sharpen and an mso
And I was taking a big ol drink of water when dad says "bird crap lake"
Y'all should put a Crary wind system in your heads
What a great video. It's a lucky person who works for themselves.
And in today's food climate, every single bean counts. I fear millions around the world will be hungry for the next few years.
Ya'll are going to have to add some acres when those kids grow up!!
Living the American dream with those three handsome kid's.๐๐๐๐
Look at that leftism in the background, cluttering up perfect creation of God with windmills my day could run anything up there I got they could even barely run one or two maybe three houses at the most the Nets on a good windy day
Thatโs crazy all the grass hoppers in combine hopper
That thumbnail! Love those drone shots!
The t-shirt Legarms ia wearing is awesome. It's great to see you paying tribute to the writer of the "this land was made for you and me" Woody Guthrie. Woody was a voice of the labor movement in the mid 20th century and the song says everyone shares the land and no one owns it.
Well God will replenish us soon enough
Thanks!
i like how yall use case ih i love that brand and john deere keep up the hard work!
Wow, those night drone shots are great. Thank you for the effort in shooting and editing.
i love that yโall are happy you could save some bushes an acre instead of just complaining about not making whatever
Those kids will be willing and able to work when the time comes. You can hire a farm kid, they are not afraid to work, make mistakes and be the most productive on your crew. I have seen it many times over the years. The oil rigs in Alberta will take farm kids over anything else that shows up at the hireing office. Good family values on your channel.
Can I come out and hunt them mule deer
