I'm probably wrong, but this appears that this letter scene may have been stage with reporter. Staging questions and responses is nothing new in rhe media , nor in colleges and universities, like in Q & A period following a students presentation, they pick their friends in audience to ask the question which they have given them and which they have well rehearsed responses. Likewise a journalist to get an interview of someone that will increase ratings, revenue, etc will agree that the person they want to interview will have control of and approve all questions beforehand. Again I'm likely wrong, just a first impression.
