The math for Tesla Coil ion chance was adding up because you had two Tesla Coils ๐
That was wild.
26:20 the math is correct. You have 2 tesla coils in the same quadrant, so picking that card once affects all the weapons in that quadrant twice
one of the new evolutions creates overload fields. This ship benefits from, but is not harmed by overload…..

So, yeah… beams (at least certain ones, I haven't tested every single combination) and firepoint work /really/ badly together for some reason, and it's been that way for a while. The game rapidly loses the ability to reliably register hits, and I've just seen it get worse and worse to the point where beam weapons were little more than a lightshow, because the game failed more often than succeeded at recognizing hits, by a very wide margin.
New features are cool and all, but /man/ this needs to get fixed because right now it just makes me want to never use them.

Please read the ship description, you can boost and get full overcharge, without the damage if your overcharge meter goes full.
Kinda a requirement on this ship due to the extreme lack of slots. But BOY does it help. Overcharge just increases your rate of fire for EVERYTHING.

You did not read the ship. You cannot self damage. The ion fence would have given you infinite overcharge, damage zones, slowed enemies and protection from rear enemies. The extra firepoint on all weapons would have aided in this. Please do this again and focus down ion fence. Honestly with that ship the more ion fence you can get the better. We could have seen so many blade drones….
Build idea: Wheel of Death. A plasma beam in each quadrant, then as many hardpoints, beam length, beam damage, etc. until nothing can even think about getting close to you.
I feel like the combos are underpowered, because you loose all the upgrades! But they get super powerful in once upgraded.

Overcharge makes all your weapons shoot faster. You can boost while trying to thrust in the other direction and it will make you stand still while generating overcharge. Strike Freedom is a beast if you give it a bunch of projectile weapons to take advantage of the overcharge attack speed.
I notice beams are affected by firepoint in different way that bullets. Beams up time is divided by numbers of beams.
That mean that wonky hitbox on plasma cutter is just downtime made by firepoint on beams
I think you'd have been better off with Heavy Cannons and Rail Guns without combos.

Like the ion freeze chance was 10% for all quadrant weapons… and you have 2 coils in the same quadrant; hence the +20%
