    I just want to thank everyone who supports the channel. With some recent invalid copyright strikes and YouTube ceaseless pushing of shorts over normal videos, it's never been a more difficult time to create videos that actually reach viewers. Your patronage is the only reason I can pay my team every month and keep working as a creator without sponsorships.

    So, given increasing uncertainty, plus in the comments the number of scams and bots (particularly sex bots. So many sex bots!) that endlessly flood in, I'm trying an experiment:

    Unfortunately, there is not a way for me to just approve all of you in one go. Instead, there's a three step process:

  9. Just paid your $3 tax so that I could comment publicly on a video you already make money on with views (but that’s another gripe for a different day). I’ve paid your comment toll just to say that you’re behaving like a vindictive scum bag for trying to take down VTH’s channel. He literally introduced your content to me, along with many other people, and had nothing but positive things to say about your content. He added a-lot of historical analysis to your original video. In fact his video was 3x longer than your video.

    CCP Grey (not a typo) is hellbent on destroying a US history teacher’s small channel because he had the audacity to react to a couple of Grey’s videos while adding extensive historical analysis and commentary. What a joke.

  18. I had a really hard time in school. I passed all my classes fine and ill always be a lifelong lover of learning, but school itself was awful. one of my few comforts during those times was this wonderful youtube channel! I've been a massive fan since I was atleast 13 years old. I would gather my family around in the living room every time you uploaded a new video, so we could all watch it together like it was some event. because of your videos my curiosity was kindles and you are responsible for so much of my love for these topics (the tekoi videos in particular lead me down so many rabbit holes of research which I think is great fun) I would literally watch your statue of liberty and federal land videos again every few days, they were amazing. yea yea, I know about parasocial relationships and how they only go one way but I bring this up to let you know the immense positive impact your channel has had on my life and how much I deeply care about this content.

    I've never felt this disappointed in anyone I've ever known or followed online. your actions in filing the copyright strikes are the most pathetic shit I've ever seen a youtuber I follow commit. my heart actually started sinking when I was learning about what you have done. I've made fun of people in the past for being this upset about "internet drama" but I get it now. the amount of love and respect you can have for someone leave that quickly is an emotional pitfall and I started tearing up. no, I'm not some 'fanboy' of that reaction channel. I was most definitely a 'fanboy' of yours though, with my years of support for this channel vs not that long for the other. it is genuinely rough to see this from you. my happy memories of skipping school and hiding in an empty classroom to watch your videos instead are turning melancholy as I cant in good conscience keep watching your videos. until you retract the strikes, apologize, or both I will be unsubscribing. I will have to comment this however, so I hope you enjoy my $5. buy yourself a coffee or something

  41. I can't remember where I came across it, but I heard the rule that if a flag cannot be recognisably drawn by a 3 year old with a crayon then the flag has a bad design.
    I'm sure there are exceptions, but it seems like a good rule of thumb.
