DOES NICK LIKE IT??? The Dirt Dudes are doing their first maintenance on the Can-Am Maverick X3 RR RS with Smart Shocks. Nick gives his opinion on the X3 after being a Polaris fan boy. Does he like it more than the Polaris? Is the Can-Am X3 better? Plus he goes over the DPS system on a Can-Am Maverick X3 and compares it to the Polaris Pro R. Then to finish off we do a oil change, front diff change, and rear fluid change on the CanAm X3. Nick needed more storage so we added a Amazon special Cargo Rack to the box area of the X3.

Been using full lock for 2800 miles 👌
Nick, get the “X3 RC” stock brake pedal, don’t get an extension, the stock RC brake pedal is fantastic!
And the brakes on the X3 are “soft feeling” to many, doubt you have air in the line.
As long as they lock up, hate to say it, but “get used to the brake feel” would be my best advice, as not many past a complete big brake kit will change the feel.
You can get pads that bite the rotor more, but the X3 is already hard on pads if you are not a lift and coast type driver.
The front diff is completely different then a Polaris I wouldn’t lock it if you don’t have to.
Nick you need to get your self a Curtis valve for a x3, it will make your life easier on changing oil
Cool video guys.looling forward to see what's next
Where can I get a dirt dudes sticker to put on my side x side
Ok WTF, owned my 21 DS RR and blown the filters and clutches after every ride. I never knew about that cover behind the seat. My life will have alot less fucking stupid back clip being said in it now.
Let's see a CT Race Worxs brace kit installed.
Looks like the next mods will be parts to make the oil change easier.
Check out the new rough country storage box for the rear. Lots of room inside of it. I really like mine and looks clean.
At high speed open front diff is the way. Wont push so bad
You are welcome for the door lowers brother. Glad to help.
Nick if your looking for some rear radius rods and a pull plate let me know I’ll cut you a crazy deal on new set of ca technologies USA high clearance radius rods and pull plate. New in the box ready to ship, I decided to go a different route on manufacture so reason looking to sell. Lmk
My 2019 in 4yrs I'm at 475 miles.
Only 1 oil change and still have factory belt
X3 Maxx RS turbo R
The oil filter is the only easy part in changing your oil😂😂😂😂
The "Override" button comes in very handy when you need full power in reverse to get out of a stuck situation where you cannot go forward but the reverse speed limiter prevents you from getting unstuck. Wish my RZR had that feature. It's very common on four wheelers.
U need to upgrade the brake system
Brake pads wear out quick which explains the soft brake
Hey brother,, check out the Curtis valve drain bolt,, love mine
nice car
Make sure you get that clutch housing guard. You break a belt and it will explode your inner clutch cover. Get the carbon fiber guard. No drilling, slides right in
Around me, it's about 90-100 bucks for a new key and the programming
On your rear bed platform, I believe there is hole lined up directly above your oil fill cap. But you have to have a long enough funnel to reach down there from the bed. Much easier.
Shout out to some local homies! Representing Northern Michigan. The guys at extreme are awesome!
Look into getting a Curtis valve set up. Oil drain problems solved!!
I know its new and it hurts your ego but can ams are a pain in the ass to work on. Just wait till you have to change the A arms or something
Get a RPM cat delete pipe! You’ll love it.
How the cvt belt holding ?
So how do you fix the dead pedal ? Mine is idle or full tilt …. Nothing in between? Thanks
I run my dps on min all the time. I felt like on min it had the most self steer for sliding out of corners.
I dremeled my skid plate out to fit a silicone filter in there a little better. Would highly recommend if you plan on servicing that thing regularly. Also after you get both drain plugs out you can push the brake and gas to the floor to try and start it and it will flush the remaining oil out, so it doesn’t make a mess when you pull the filter out. Funnel with hose on it straight down through the bed to fill. I also, run my dps on minimum. It has far more self steer for sliding corners and drifting 👍
Love the Obor hat!
Cussed many times changing oil on my '19. Raptor offroad has a specific funnel that is cheap and worked for me. Change the front diff fluid often, on my 3rd one. I use a snap on ball allen with a wrench to break it. Just snug when tightening
At silver lake drag racing in 4wheel drive. I’d hit about 52 mph. With the front diff locked in I’d get 56mph. From what I’ve read and experienced is dps is only for slower speeds. When your going fast dps goes to minimum no matter what you have set. Just my 2 cents.
I have a 21 XRS and I have some of the same irritations. For the brake pedal, buy an XRC brake pedal, it’s like a 20 minute replacement and fairly cheap. For the oil, they sell a silicone funnel that will make your life SO much easier. I run CT Race Worx for all my gussets and can’t say enough good things, other than I need a bigger budget. Lol.
Man i came from Polaris and the x3 is definitely a different experience.. love my x3 !!! Very curious about the pro r though.
Thats how i run my 4wd
Nope the break lines flex !! Put hard lines in !!!!!!
7k miles on my 2020 rr … oem wheels bearings and two belts. Tuned 4 seater !
