You are very DRIVEN
Slightly surprised the episode title/thumbnail didn’t feature the kimchi, after such a long buildup waiting for it to ferment.
It is really interesting to think about human extinction… because I agree, it’s very unlikely, given what we’ve evolved into. We are incredibly adaptable, clever, and tenacious. And there are billions of us. There are very few scenarios where it seems possible to get rid of all humans everywhere. I do think we may end up doing something that ends up killing us in the end — that issue of just because we can doesn’t mean we should. We may end up developing a technology (biological, chemical, mechanical, or otherwise) that turns out to be worse than we anticipated and gets out of hand. But even then, all it takes is a fraction of a percent of humanity to survive and persist, and the longer it takes for an event to unfold, the more likely it is that people will live through it. It is weird to think about how we’ve reached this point that nothing else on Earth has ever reached before… It’s kind of mind-blowing. (I also wonder sometimes how things would’ve turned out if Earth’s history had played out differently… Would the most intelligent dinosaurs have reached this point, if the KPg extinction hadn’t happened? I mean, look at crows and ravens and the rest of the corvids. What would have happened if some of the ancient lineages hadn’t been cut short…?)
Wow these are deep and intense thoughts to be having while watching a Coral Island playthrough….
I have 2 buggies who live in there cage 1 can fly the other can’t because I don’t want them flying around the house and a green cheeked conure name that comes in and out of his cage as he pleases and who I like you want these videos with.
Yay, the kimchi is finally done!
20:6 This lava statue thing is pretty cool.
Other than pondering human extinction, a very chill episode of farming and diving~
