Sometimes I feel bad for Russia… it would seem the entire country is a huge bad luck magnet… but at some point you got to stop and ask yourself: isn't there something I can do to prevent all this bad stuff that keeps happening to me? The answer of course is yes… but Russia says "oh no we can just let our s*** rot and not take care of it and then try to fire it 25 years from now and what? it blew up? oh my God…" it is truly Russian to say we will build this s*** bigger than yours but we do not know how to maintain it or use it properly…
Must have been terrifying to have served on a one of their subs, I've been in 2 of them, they were poorly designed, and built. Most were merely numbers, diversions, to hide the subs that were important, the crews were expendable.
There are so many downsides to nuclear energy I don't know why this is even been considered a f**** option…all it does is heat water and turn it into steam…seriously, no BS… but if we were to start calling nuclear submarines steam powered submarines it certainly wouldn't sound as cool.
