Disney's 'Ohana Dinner 2022! Date Night at Disney's Polynesian Resort, Beach & Construction Update

Join us for ‘Ohana dinner at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in April 2022 for the full dining experience, including the updated menu, enjoying the delicious food and drinks of one of the most popular restaurants at Walt Disney World! After dinner we take a stroll to the beach where there is lots of construction going on and we walk by the former Spirit of Aloha site and talk about the new Polynesian DVC tower that will be built in that location. We enjoy the beaches, beautiful views of Magic Kingdom and Cinderella Castle, and watch the sunset from the beach! My first ever date night type of video to bring you along for a lovely evening at our favorite Disney resort on a beautiful afternoon and evening! Hope you enjoy this, please let me know if you’d like to see more like it and if you love ‘Ohana dinner too!

  1. Hmmm…. Jelous, wife and I ate these about 2 months ago and we did not get the hot towels, they would have been helpful. You guys are cute together. Happy date night!

  2. Ok , I ate at ohana in March for the first time. While I had a good time and excellent service I too was not a fan of the steak and or the shrimp. I also felt everything was salty for my taste. But omg the dessert holy crap was delicious!!!! You gotta have a good time and enjoy each experience the best you can. Love seeing Sam in your videos. You two are so cute and make a sweet couple!

  3. I am so glad you talked about the shrimp being fishy. We are coming in jan next year and I will just forgo the shrimp. I am so glad someone understands about the difference in shrimp taste. I am in New Orleans so I know good and not so good seafood.

  5. I have a gluten allergy but this is one meal where I’m just going to have to pop a few gluten pills and hope for the best. I very rarely cheat but it looks like all the best things here are a gluten fest LOL! There are so many things I need to be able to say I’ve tasted at least once in my lifetime!

  7. My husband and I went to the Spirit of Aloha on our honeymoon. It was so great they had all the honeymoon and anniversary couples come up for a special dance! AND they had this AMAZING complimentary rum punch at the time (1997) and as soon as you took a sip they'd bring you another! To say I was tipsy was an understatement! It's heartbreaking that's going away…do they really need another DVC resort?? 😕

  8. How sweet you guyz are!! Also shrimp should not taste "fishy" so I'm sad yours were. Yuck! You look so pretty (as always) & Sam is just a doll! Love you guyz & keep on enjoying the heck out of life! 💜🙏🤟

  9. Hello Sam & Jackie!! Looked like a REALLY NICE Disney Date Night. Ohana 💕 is Family. There was a French Poodle 🐩 when you first entered. Your outfits matched each other and the atmosphere. What a pleasant Friday Evening! 🙂😊🥰

  10. Since you asked about the bird in the tree over the water and I didn't see a response, I'm saying that I think it's a female or immature anhinga because the head and neck were lighter than the body.

  11. Wow, big improvement on the singer at Ohana! Last time we were there I was cringing at how out of tune the singer was. Beautifully done video and your hair is looking great, Jackie!

  12. I did experience the Luau in 1978 with my family and again in '81 on my honeymoon. The food was really nothing special, as Pan-Asian cuisine had yet emerged on the scene. Offerings were the standard pork, fried rice and chow mein-type veggies. But the best part about the luau was the hard-working, fabulous performers! And the second time I was at the show, I recognized some performers from 3 years before. The area where the luau took place was serene and "secret", just like some spots in Hawaii. I suppose a trip to Aulani might be just the ticket to experience a true luau with the Disney flair. And surely the food offerings will be much more exciting as well! Again, your date night video of Ohana was so lovely and you and Sam truly made the Polynesian look as special as it always was, is and hopefully, will be <3

  13. I'm glad you guys had a fun experience. My husband and I went there for the 1st time during the 1st week of March 2022 and it was a ghastly experience. The food was cold and bland, we were seated about 40 minutes after our reservation, and the only saving grace was the bread pudding at the end of the meal. Worst $300 some spent. 🙁 I'm sure we just caught them on a bad night but we will not be back.
