  1. Thanks for vlogging lookout cay! I think Disney rushed lookout cay. The 10 min walk to and back is insane, and adding factors like hot day, or raining, a family, that's a lot of walking with little to no shade. They need to figure out a method of transportation to take guests quickly to the island. Lack of shade is another issue. You mentioned the buildings looking the same and having little personality compared to Castaway, I agree. The fly issue idk how they're going to fix that, but that's not good. Overall, if I was going to a once in a lifetime Disney Cruise and I had to choose between this or Castaway cay, Castaway is the way to go imo.

  2. A great looking destination! I've been to that island a few times with a different cruise line and yeah, the water and beaches are all great. So sad to see all of the negative comments about the "lack of shade" and the half mile walk on the pier. It's a new destination, Disney will get it all sorted out.

  3. How could you eat with all those flies? I don't think that anyone should eat that food after the flies are landing on whatever they're landing on all over that island, giving a little puke puke and then eating that food that you're also eating! For the amount of money that people are spending I cannot believe there are even more complaints. I can't believe there's not more like major news coverage!

  4. Peter mentioned cut & paste along of the pavilions, you have to realise Disney is budget cutting so they more than likely got the pavilions cheap because they purchased in bulk

  5. A HUGE kudos for being able to give a video with critiques without completely slamming everything. I’ve found so many of the videos about Lookout Cay focus way too much on the comparison and complaining with the pros being an after thought. Showing you both appreciating the beach and the landscape provides a great balance to the things that can be improved. Can Disney do more with the location? Definitely. But you guys also showed that they are building on a beautiful foundation and as it grows, it will really become its own unique location. I don’t think some vloggers recognize the power their negative reviews have, but you guys always seem to understand that people can be easily swayed one way or the other so at least try to provide a balanced review. Thank you.

  6. Also, they didn't have beach wheelchairs on that first cruise and the private cabanas. You couldn't get wheelchair access, so hopefully, they have that fixed

  7. The nature trail looks beautiful. I hope they don’t change it. That’s a very lovely island, and I hope visitors respect the environment (stay on the trail!!). I think I’d steer clear of the fly-infested food, though, and just enjoy nature.

  8. Guys I have been waiting for this! I saw you both in a photo someone else posted and I was excited because I knew this video was on its way! I am hoping some positive changes are coming based on feedback! I loveeeee Castway Cay and I was ready for sort of Castaway 2 but seems not at all what I had hoped for. Thanks for all you do guys ❤

  9. From every review i've seen, if they don't fix the fly problem around the food, they will have more people returning to the ship and less people eating on the island.

  10. The island desperately needs more color. It almost has dessert vibes with all the tan and lack of shade. The band, parade and character costumes have the fun colorful vibes I expected. Also, feel like a slide or some kind of entertainment for teens/adults would go a long way. Maybe they will make some of those changes.
