I vote kewpie mayonnaise. I’m not from the South nor from Japan so my perspective here is meaningless in every conceivable way, but this is the internet. The world of unsolicited opinions
Had some shrimp & grits at FQ in September on a girls trip. It was delicious & several of us shared it. We were staying at SSR so we heated it up for breakfast and it heated up well.
Definitely Blue Plate Mayonnaise. When you want some real New Orleans cooking come on over. We will hook you up. Loved the video.
I'm proud to be born and raised in Dixie. My grandmother's hands bled working in the cotton fields and I'm proud of the work ethic she gave me. I'm proud european frying techniques integrated with African influences to bring fried Okra into this world. Not everyone in the south was slave holder or slave. I've spent nights away dreaming I was back home in Dixie weather, Georgia, Tennessee, or Alabama.
Miracle Whip! Yea! Not Mayo, per my Granny!
Stayed here with our 4 kids 20 years ago…they all fit. One slept on the bench between the wall and armoire and 1 in trundle bed! Still my favourite resort but now out of my price range so we stay at Pop Century.
Sorry, but anyone from New Orleans is team Blue Plate.
100% Dukes Mayo
Have you done Contemporary resort yet?
Sorry Molly, we Louisiana folk are not the Yee-Haw kind. That’s our neighbors to the left 😂
Hey Mam Fam Mamma and Papa, please do a resort video series comparing all of the club level stays at each hotel. Who has the best food, best amenities, best bang for your buck etc.
Morty and Ferdy!! <3 Such a pretty resort. Yay Tiana!
EDITED to add: I thought Snow White's prince was named Florian? Not sure where I got that idea. Does anyone know what Cinderella's prince's name was?
Dukes mayo for us, or I make my own!
Riverside is the one resort I won’t stay again. Way too big & sprawling. French Quarters is much nicer
I’m not a princess and a frog fan. But this place looks cool.
Ok, so you have me making reservations for this resort. See you in March. You should get a cut. LOL🤗
Staying at Riverside for the first time in a couple of months, and I am excited to try it. A big reason for trying this resort out for me is that it is dog friendly. Last year I stayed at a cabin in Fort Wilderness, as those are also dog friendly; I loved it there, so did the doggo, but it was also quite pricey, so trying something a step down this year. But even still I am super excited because I enjoy going to the Springs and love me some Scat Cats and Beignyas’s. I will also comment that my wife has a gluten and dairy allergy so finding good food that is themed well can be more difficult for her; she/was have found that the allergy menu/food at Boatwrights is some of the best she has had. Thank you for a great video!! I’m def. going to book a carriage ride!!
When giving in to your intrusive thoughts works and gives you sparkling lights!
dont worry Molly, i cant say that word either i cant even spell it >.>) it looks like (The apple thing) looks like you could find at Trader Joes….you can make your own ice coffee, thats what i did
Im from Lafayette. I say yeehaw ironically 😅
Love Port Orleans better with the old time feel. Hate all the modern touches they have done to so many resorts.
I'm from North Georgia, and I grew up eating Blue Plate mayonnaise. Still do! I lived in an area that didn't sell Blue Plate (or Duke's for that matter) and I would stock up when I went home.
My fav resort
Dukes for me!
thanks team – checking into Riverside in a couple of days. excited to to see the picturesque grounds. I grew up in Cajun country, so i’ll probably pass on food options. but will definitely take the walk for beignets which are top notch. And lastly, i’m a blue plate girl but have heard good things about Duke’s. 🖤💚
I like Dixie Landing better, instead of woke nonsense sugar coating of history.
My wife took our daughter and her two daughters to Disney a while ago and stayed at Riverside. My wife's only complaint was that the resort is so large. Two years later the two of us went and stayed at French Quarter. We loved it! French Quarter is now our preferred resort.
Dukes mayo is good but it’s hard to find in Southern California. Ralph’s market (part of Kroger) did have it for a short time and I bought it. I guess it didn’t sell well because they marked it down a couple weeks later (I got another jar). But…. I have to say I still think Best Foods (aka “Hellmans”) is a bit better if you like a richer mayo as they add extra egg yolks in the ingredients (that is the main difference between the two). Again, I liked Dukes but to me, not as special as everyone makes it out to be.
Serving a Boulevardier with that much ice is crazy
I'm another one who can't say "rural" correctly (I'm from rural Ohio). I liked Duke's taste, but it gave me heartburn afterwards, so I'm out on the "best mayo" train.
4:56 And the only time they appeared in the new Mickey Mouse cartoons was in the Halloween special. Mickey, Donald and Goofy take Huey, Dewey, Louie, Morty and Ferdy trick or treating and then Mickey tries telling them scary stories, two of which end up being based on Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” and Mel Brooks’ “Young Frankenstein”.
When Alan said Prince Adam, is it bad my mind immediately went to He-Man?
There is no other option than Dukes. No other mayo exists. 😂
My grandkids love the princess rooms! Another advantage is the 5th sleeper. It’s A LOT more for delux resorts but some day
Alan: This area is called Old Man Island.
Me to my husband: Alan and Molly went to Old Man Island and everyone there knew you.
😂
EDIT: Coming back to say that “🎶I saw a button and I pressed it🎶” is so Travis Willingham-coded.
Gonna be honest, Port Orleans Riverside is probably my least favorite resort on property. We even stayed in the princess room (the decor in there was magical, I'll give them that). Room was lacking in updates/amenities you would hope/expect at a hotel these days (no USB outlets anywhere, lack of electrical sockets generally). The resort was way too big/spread out (I don't understand how people will complain about Caribbean beach for that but not mention that for Riverside when I feel like it's worse). I just don't know why you would ever pick this resort over another. Want better transportation? Go to Caribbean Beach. Want better theming? Go to French Quarter. Want it to be cheaper? Go to a value. Want something fancier? Go to a deluxe. The ONLY thing it has over the other resorts is the princess rooms specifically, which like I mentioned, were lacking basic features you would expect from a hotel in 2024
Hi there, I’m sorry if I missed it… But I would love if you added the cost of the stuff you’re getting in the restaurants and the drinks. Like price plus tip would be great information for planning purposes. Thank you so much! I love you guys and the resort stays
In Georgia DUKES is the only answer! I don’t eat Mayo, but my husband would probably divorce me if I brought anything else into this house! 🤣
