  1. did you want an informational packet to thumb through before you go down the slide? do you really think they're going to fully fill you in on every reason why they tell you to do what you're supposed to do which is follow the rules? you already know the reasons: for your safety. that should be enough. this sounds like someone who didn't listen and who's panties were too tight! but seriously, it's awful to have sustained such injury at what's usually a happy place.

  2. I have sympathy for the coffee lady from years back and the wedgie Lady from now…. but I can't help but wonder what kinda of parents these people had as Children My parents taught me to be aware that THE WORD IS A DANGEROUS PLACE, I should evaluate and be responsible for my actions. That doesn't mean you should stay in your room curled up in the fetal position but you should assume every thing comes with risk and the more adventurous the more risky but even using a ladder or crossing the road is dangerous… so why would you not assume that a water slide is also dangerous….

  3. Isn't Morgan and Morgan the firm that starts off one of their commercials about his brother was paralyzed at Disney and shows the picture of a young boy in a suit sitting in a wheelchair and that is why he decided to go into law to help those people who need to fight the big corporations — I was thinking their were a local firm and maybe the one who also brags that the Mom was or is also a lawyer or part of the firm — may be a different one than the Disney accident one – I guess they are not local — It seems years ago there was one that claimed his brother was paralyzed or injured which let them to go into law but seems it was showing and older man and didn't mention Disney — I know at the end of the commercial someone and I am guessing the brother as an adult with haltering speech says Morgan and Morgan – but I noticed that almost anyone who says the name on the commercials speaks it very haltingly too – but looks like they are advertising and encouraging others to sue disney with their help

  4. I guess as a former water park user ( yes, I'm old), I know about the wedgie/slide effect. All you have to do is watch how people behave when getting off a slide no matter the slide's length. If you read any guide books before coming to water parks, you are warned to wear shorts to avoid the wedgie effect.

  5. I miss where the pens and watches that used to be sold at the big Disney Store. They had some of the coolest Timex watches and awesome pens. Now they are only sold at a jewelry store and are priced way too high.

  6. So, for those that do not know – water or air forced into the vaginal cavity can cause serious injury and strokes.

Seriously. You can absolutely google that.

So far, this looks pretty similar to the woman that died from the indiana jones head injury in Disneyland.

  7. They want disney to offer free shorts to water slide riders? If you don't have the common sense to wear shorts on slides you know you will risk picking out a wedgie in front of 50 people in addition to the bodily injury risk.

  8. So now Disney will be requiring all water slide users to wear shorts on water slides and will be selling $100 pairs for those who don’t have any? Seriously though, as a woman, I’m sorry she was injured. That’s an abrupt and particularly rotten end to what should have been a fun day.

Thought we’d all learned at some point as teenagers though to save the cute suit for the hotel pool. You have so much more fun at the water park if you opt for something more practical like the boring full coverage tank with a pair of board shorts and a tshirt or rash guard over the top. Avoids embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions, friction burns if part of the slide didn’t have quite as much water as it should have had, and decreases the amount of severe sunburn if you aren’t quite as good at reapplying the sunscreen as you should be.

  9. I call BS frivolous lawsuit with the 'wedgied' woman, and yes I said frivolous and here's why; according to the report she and her daughter and mother went down the slide and SHE'S the only one to have this happen to her?!?! AND that the event took place in 2019 but waited till 2023 to bring a lawsuit up against Disney… again I call BS on this woman's claims ESPECIALLY considering how many years Typhoon Lagoon has been open, how many people have been down tat slide EACH and EVERY day that it's been in operations. I know someone will say it could happen, but I say you have to look at the numbers and the odds are so high it's not funny.

  10. Does anyone know why the lawsuits are always for $50,000? Is it like a threshold that they know Disney will just settle? (The monorail injury was also 50k, as well as the Peter Pan whiplash injury)

  11. But don’t dare ask the castmembers where you can get their shirt, because they’ll just give you a weird face. I swear Disney castmembers these days are not like they used to be, they’ve got an attitude now and it sucks

  12. Okay here’s the thing- I know that those water slides can MESS you up. But to say it’s because the signs telling you to cross your legs don’t explain why or what it’ll do to you? Nah fam. Imagine every ride describing every gruesome issue you could have up to and including genital injury? Wild
