How good is Mickey Mouse at picking games against the spread?
The Disney hierarchy is just running Disney as a business. Looking at the bottom line. They aren’t really considering the customer, the experience, the park goer. They aren’t thinking of what Disney represents and what it has stood for in family friendly fun. They aren’t thinking of the imagineering and creativity of designing and creating new and inventive designs. All that is the reason the refurbs of resorts seem a little like normal hotels just with Disney theming, new attractions aren’t near as detailed or intricate as they used to be, free perks have disappeared, and price increases everywhere. I still love going to Disney and taking my family but how and when we go will change. Probably won’t stay on property. No park hopper. Genie+ depending on park. Length of time. No extras add ons. It’s sad. But until Disney is not just a business to the board that’s how it’ll be for us.
We need Disney to be Family owned and operated. Any good thing that ends up being run by shareholders and people around an oval table die. Its not about money. It was never about money. It was about having a good time and making money. Walt wanted somewhere for people to go and forget about work and life. Not worry about how much money they have to be there
Whats next, moving Disneyland to Las Vegas, a slot machine for everyone?
After this they will roll out a red light district refurb of French quarter

It’s a corporate money grab for as long as it can attract people based on it’s reputation built on that vision. And so far it’s working. I just spoke with a “first timer” and they thought it was wonderful. You don’t know what you don’t know, it’s only those of us who have been around who realize what’s happening.

I used to love Disney, but it has lost a lot of magic by choice and the trend continues with its corporate "BS". The initial changes that updated the parks to appeal to a wider audience made sense. Even though Disney knows the “old guard” of Disney fans are upset but for every older family who stops going; there is a younger family that will take over that spot and Disney is relying on them and I see nothing to indicate that Disney Corp will have any reason to change course. A lot of the more recent changes Disney has revealed show they value, maximum profit above all else. Getting into gambling is just another example of that, however there is a difference. They are now abandoning profit with moral values that differentiated Disney from other corporations. Let's be honest the people who actually cared about the experiences guests had at the parks and the company are long gone and have been replaced by money hungry corporate vultures whose only interest is increasing profits. They know that the demand for Disney movies and parks isn't going anywhere, so they don't need to spend nearly as much money to "keep the magic" because people will come regardless. I know many hope the end is nigh, when it come to the Disney Corporation and it absolutely makes no difference to me until we stop complaining about it and start acting on it now. We have the power to force change by uniting and stop going to anything related to Disney (e.g movies, television, parks, etc). But if we do not do anything but complain, cry, and still pay their prices, then we have no one to blame except ourselves for their greed. Disney depends on the fact that we are just blowing out our frustrations on social media but will still pay what they want and they are right because we always have and still will. Because Disney knows many of these select newer younger families will happily pay and those who save go into debt to make to a dream come true. At that time the reason for WDW Park and the company in general was evoke a world of imagination and create memories for all people. These newer individuals will never know the Disney experience; many of us had 25 years ago. I look back now and am glad I experienced that Disney before the place became yet another over priced amusement park.
Oh ya! When I think “Disney”, sports betting is right on the tip of my tongue! NOT!
