Wanted to do some discussion of Sonic X Shadow Generations after the second reveal trailer at Summer Games Fest, so why not do it over a playthrough of Shadow Generations??

The Shadow wings are something straight out of [Prototype]
From the 10 minute VGC video that I saw, it seems like Shadow's portion of the game is using Hedgehog Engine 2's lighting while normal Generations looks like a slightly cleaner version of the original.
Seems like they're mixing Final Rush/Chase with the indoor Ark levels from Shadow as well. I definitely recognized the same hallways from the Doom and Lost Impact in the footage. It makes me excited for possibly getting Kingdom Valley with an Aquatic Base section midway through the level!
I just watched the new gameplay AND ITS AMAZING 🤩
My biggest concern was the level design.
And it Actually looks like it’s just as good as gens and unleashed
I’m probably jumping the gun but seriously all the different paths and stuff it’s so cool!

There's gameplay footage already. In the Biolizard fight you can see Shadow had the wide arc in his jump state.
Ooh, I was looking for this specific version because it's the only one that has the right boost animation.
Gotta be honest, the wings, to me, reek of "dark-n-edgy" cringe
