Disappointing Lost Media (That Didn't Live Up to the Hype) II

Have you ever searched for a piece of lost media, that didn’t feel like it was worth the effort? Or a topic that was so disappointing it wasn’t a cool as you thought it would be? Today, let’s go over a few searches that made me feel exactly like this.

  2. Digital girl was SUPER disappointing for me. Not only because of the fact that it was a hoax, but because the full version that was released was mixed differently and it SUCKED (tho to be fair to og mix was released later and it was really good but that took a couple months)

  3. The true disappointment to me is when I see a new video about lost media but about 50% of it treats about IPs I absolutely don't care about like Spongebob or FNAF. Thank god it's possible to skip segments with the progression bar.

  4. Personally I would say the evil farming game was the biggest disappointment… like yeah it really sounded way imaginative but could definitely have been an obscure game with half the features the original post and everyone else remembering it mentioned which could’ve made it interesting to look into (probably a flash game? Remember the first flash games were super edgy and abused gore, like stickde*th for example).

Honorable mention would go to cameraheads, being a creepypasta enjoyer myself I kinda knew it was going to be super crappy, which is why it was on the bs category, but expected something well a bit darker, but the text isn’t even a fraction of how scary the early creepypastas were along with their videos (which were usually taken from B-movies and added excessive filters)

Lastly not necessarily disappointing but I live in negation that it is not true but I always knew it was fake: saki sanobashi/go for a punch. The original post had absolutely every dark net cliche EVER but still managed to put together a pretty interesting story that I genuinely wished it was true. Not that I want to see gore, but the story itself as fake as it was really had a good plot for a pilot for a gore/horror animation film or series

  5. The uncle Walt one is. 1. Really frustrating 2. Not fitting for this video cause the lost media wasn't disappointing but rather it not being released was disappointed. Like, I'm sure that happens a lot.

  6. So much terrible, bland, or “waste of time” stuff actually gets a full published and marketed release that I don’t get why people are shocked to find out that, a lot of the time, the stuff that couldn’t be bothered to be kept up with is often terrible, bland, or a waste of time.

Like I think the search is almost always a cool puzzle and often times the people being tracked down are left feeling seen and appreciated long after the fact. But expecting even the majority of lost media, let alone all of it, to be so fascinating to somehow be worth the search is just silly.

  7. Now, I think another reason they might of pulled uncle Walt from release is because of the many controversial subjects, from the screenshots they have, some of the stuff could potentially be offensive to people, just a guess, but it would make some sense.

  8. I have a feeling that when the Encarnacion Bechaves commercial is found, it will be disappointing. Some Filipinos claim that the commercial was indeed bizarre, but people on the internet have gone overboard with their descriptions.
