“Disappointed With The BBC” | Letter Signed By 100 Plus Condemn Employment of ‘Racist’ Pundit

The BBC has been accused of demonstrating a “monumental double standard” on racism by continuing to employ cricket commentator Qasim Sheikh.

In an open letter, over 100 Jewish figures in the media and entertainment industry criticised the BBC’s decision to support Sheikh, who has started commentating this week for Test Match Special.

Rebecca Ryan from Defund The BBC joins Talk’s Jeremy Kyle to discuss this further.

  1. Love that reform is being seen as the silver bullet to solve the country’s problems. They are simply another bunch of self serving grifters that don’t care about not for the country, they are made up of mostly ex-Tories ffs! But sure, vote for them anyway, after Brexit and Tory rule for 15 years, the country is completely screwed anyway.

  2. How many islamists work for the BBC? It seems by the way they support islam so muc that there are many! It should be fairly easy to check as you can bet your boots that they will have taken advantage of their numbers to insist on prayer rooms!

  3. The issue is clearly shown in the comments!
So many demands that the government stop the TV licence.
How about people do something for themselves and stop paying for it!
The culture of depending on and expecting the government to do everything is the reason we are in the mess we are in!
Politicians are not politicians for our benefit!
They are in it to leech as much money as they can get before they get caught!

  4. Hmmm, not really a video about a racist-pundit though is it? As much as I agree with the criticisms of the BBC, this is just another blather-fest video that's at most 1% about the topic stated in what now seems to be yet another clickbait title. Irritating video at best.

  5. This article misses the whole point, yes the BBC could of edited the comment out of the iplayer version of the coverage, but the point is the BBC hate Britishness and only do these pieces to comply with their public service broadcaster charter. Any opportunity to drop the flag waving and national pride item is fair game to them. I saw the last half an hour of the evening broadcast on 5th, ok it was dark but not a union jack in sight. It reminded me of the early top of the pops shows when the production team got a new graphics kit and over used it again and again. The light show imagery and continual use depicting a ship, spitfire and landing craft etc was like watching painting by numbers or dot to dot, very immature, needless and not imho not befitting of the gravitas required for such an occasion of remembrance, very gimmicky, much like the BBC🤦‍♂️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

  6. If i hear the word racist or sexist i assume they are not because according to the woke cult we are all racists, the only people who are racists are ironically the ANTI Racists whose doctrines are pure marxist nonsense.

  7. Cancelled my TV licence back in 2005 as I refused to pay for all the crap and propaganda. Occasionally see it when visiting friends and family and OMG it is so painful to watch anything on TV.

  8. The government could get rid of the tv tax tomorrow but as convid proved, gov need the likes of the BBC to push out their propaganda. It's now moved on from convid to climate change and the ones who were gullible before are proving just as gullible AGAIN 🤦‍♂️
