A dinosaur’s leg, stunningly preserved, has been presented by scientists claiming it was likely killed by a giant asteroid which caused the species’ extinction.
The limb, complete with skin, is just one of a series of remarkable finds emerging from the Tanis fossil site in the US State of North Dakota.
But it’s not just their exquisite condition that’s turning heads – it’s what these ancient specimens purport to represent.
The claim is the Tanis creatures were killed on the actual day the asteroid struck Earth 66 million years ago, which saw the reign of dinosaurs end.

It was ozone depletion that led to the extinction not a meteor, the only way for earth to warm and cool is by changes on the ozone layer and that decides how much of the UV-B rays that earth shall receive. Remember UV-B rays are 48 times more energetic than infrared light.

I doubt this fossil was from the extinction event just from the probability it wasn't. If we take the average dinosaur generational lifespan, I'll be very generous and say 50 years, and divide it by 165 million years, the amount of time they were believed to exist, you get 3.3 million. In comparison, only about 11 thousand dinosaur fossils have been found in the past few decades. Overall, although it may sound like there would be a ton of fossils from that extinction event due to nearly all the dinosaurs at that time dying at once, the amount that died was insignificant compared to the total number of dinosaurs that had lived and died before then, and the odds of us finding an extinction-event dinosaur fossil is very low.

There are all kinds of theories about dinosaurs, and the extent to which they are absurd seems never ending. Certainly that goes for those pompously presented in mainstream media.
Let’s look at some absurd things we have been taught to believe about fossils.
You were told that deep sea trilobites, which amazingly are found on most mountain tops, and all over the planet at all levels, are 250 million years old.
Use your common sense. Have you ever heard of erosion? It would be a miracle if even a mountain survived after 1 million years of erosion.
You’re being told that dinosaurs lived 75 million years ago based on their fossils. Again, use your common sense. Golly we can find them sometimes quite intact, near the surface of the earth all over the planet. Once again, there is no way those bones were going to have been anything but
dust in less than 1 million years.
You’re buying it that dinosaurs turned into birds. The only example they can give is Archaeopteryx. And there are
evolutionists who agree it was nothing but a perching bird.
It’s small. It’s got fully formed flight feathers, a beak and bird claws. Yes it has some claws on its wings but so do some living animals today. That doesn’t prove it came from a dinosaur.
There are all kinds of dinosaur fossils around the planet. There are all kinds of bird fossils around the planet. Where do we see fossils of humongous feet turning into little bird claws step-by-step? Monstrous mouths turning into little bird beaks? We have fossilized skin from dinosaurs and they look like lizard skin never like birds with feathers.
Some evolutionists found some fuzzy stuff on some bones on dinosaurs and declared them to be Proto feathers, that is the beginning of feathers. Really? How come we don’t ever seen real feathers on dinosaurs? How come some Evolutionists are saying that the fuzzy stuff is just collagenous material?
It is laughable and absurd to think that dinosaurs turned into birds. There’s absolutely zero evidence for that. It is one of the major fantasies of evolution. And are you buying it while you laugh at creationists?
Details about dinosaurs from secular media are always fantastic and absurd if you actually look at the data and use your own mind. And they are ever-changing to entertain the naïve populace.
You are buying it that inorganic matter can spring to life. We’ve got inorganic matter all over the place! None of it ever springs to life. Even in high-tech labs they can’t produce a single cell. They can’t even bring a dead cell back to life!

Cool indeed. Keep in mind though that the asteroid impact leading to dino Extinction is a theory, something agreed upon because they were no closer to explaining the reason for their demise than they were 2-300yrs ago. Imagine the pressure to come up with something was high. Heck, the silly "non-avian dinosaur" meme was also a result of that pressure. We've known for 109yrs their lineage to modern day birds. Even the bone war goofs didn't feel the need to muddy up conversation by making up unneeded over-clarifications. I saw where there's a group working a formation in Texas that is producing fossils by the hundreds, contrary to the geo reports. And everyone who has reviewed them says there's a consistent "wound pattern" on every single specimen. This wound pattern and the resultant soft tissue trauma allows for a determination of death. And they say that these fossils consisting of over 25 different species, did not die from an asteroid impact or from a flood. Controversial for sure!

If an animal dies today, it won't fossilize, animals always fossilize where there are minerals, dirt, and LOTS OF WATER.
