Though you don't NEED a fifth Digi-Egg, a possible choice is Dorimon (BT7). It allows you to draw and dig, because it does not care what kind of sources you put under a Digimon.
Also, if instead of a more control route with BlackWarGreymon (BT8), if you want even more aggressive plays go with Gaiomon (BT9). You can BLITZ with Gaiomon with the +1 Security Check, then if you have the End of turn DNA inheritable on the field, DNA into Ragnaloardmon (ST13) swing again and again.
I started playing ragnalord yesterday. I would go for 3 BlackWarGreymon instead of the Baihu, 4 Ragnalords and cut tamers and Option Cards, you really don't need any 😀
Ragnaloard is tough because, especially with the new starter deck, it wants to build a big stack. But it's slower than your typical OTKs (Grandis, AncientGrey, Alphamon, etc.) Worse, the stack isn't really protected and is very vulnerable to most removals. Yes, the black lines gives it protection from deletion, but you need to invest space / memory into "Breath of the Gods" or Kongou to really protect it before it's a level 7. Worse worse, Jesmon is super common, and can very easily swing into your things, deleting Ragna himself. Worse Worse Worse- the deck has very little way to control the board until it gets big. So it wants to get big, then DNA, delete a bunch of stuff, but the whole time your opponent can delete your pieces either with removal or just attacking you.
That last one is part of the reason Mastemon (what I play) is so good. Mastemon herself deletes things, plays things, and what you play can also delete things or recover (MagnaAnge, Lucemon CM), even on the way up to Maste. BWG too. Metalgreymon from BT8 is so good because it can evolve, de-digivolve, and kill a (small) thing, AND then once it's a level 6, it can help board control with it's inheritable.
Unfortunately, I think the best way to run Ragnaloardmon is with a non-legend arms base, then red/black cards at the top that then DNA into him. What that base is, I'm not sure yet.
I'm using 3 copies of BT 10 Spadamon. This card is insane, not only you can de-digivolve your opponent digimon and search your deck, it's also a black/red rookie that you can digivolve in raising area for a turn 2 Legend Arms Alliance (suppose you're going second). It really speed's up the deck.
I prefer to use X2 hiro and X1 Izzy, the First reason Is to preserve you'r lv6s. if you don't have the Alliance, you can miss the effect of durandamon, so you are attacking with an 11.000, very fragile….. But with hiro you are more confident, even with brywe you can do damages. In this deck you want to preserve your lv6s. The second reason Is because Is a Red tamer, so when you reveal your tama, you are also able to use alliance.
I don't run spadamon or alliance. I do black wargrey 2x but I reduced my Duran and other black lv 6 to make room. Idk the deck feels smooth bit it's still kinda brick especially with a fast deck like armor or gallantmon
thats what I am talking about!!!
I saw someone that uses the blackwargrey from bt8 instead of baihu
I'm building Ragnalordmon for locals this week so this was perfect timing
Instant like for Ragnaloardmon!

How many times did black memory boost Dave you in this deck profile?
