Even though EX7 just dropped here in North America, it’s another one month time frame before the next pre-release for special booster 2.0. Because not all the cards have been announced yet for BT19, I’m doing a straight review of BT18 followed by the BT19 cards later.
And for the first video it’s all the cards related to Emperorgreymon with the spirits of flame, ice and wind!

A HUGE Thank You to my Patrons!

  1. My store STILL dosen't have EX07 stock or the starter decks; and packfiller… I mean special booster 2.0 is only a month away…

You could cook with the wind line in Shoto; with AncientKazemon as an alternate/backup boss monster; it does have "bird" in it's traits after all. Likewise; you run AncientMegatherium in Hexeblaumon because you need more lv6's. The old Hexeblaumon dosen't work with CrysPaledramon's inheritable.

  2. While I'm still annoyed by the color swap of JP and Zoe's lines, I am super excited to play Tommy Himi Ice Hybrids. Kumamon, Korikakumon, and Daipenmon are all great cards, and with two Tommys, it feels like it has a solid core. Playing low to the ground and just rushing the opponent with hybrids doesn't sound too bad now that you can recycle the tamers easily.

  3. Bt 18 was honestly a very boring set. Bunch of cards with repetitive effects in the set. Like why create 3 sr in the same set with 95% of the effect being identical. Like why couldn’t they go a bit crazy with the effects. Like Kumamon could have worked with ice-snow digimon. Or Kazemon with fairy and bird digimon.
But atleast the side characters base form where Sr before the main character.

  4. Bt18 is so repetitive and basically shafted Junpei and Izumi. You can’t use them anywhere on a long run without Takuya/Kouji card. Unlike the other kids you can’t make a good deck unless you mix them. Old Junpei with Fairymon is good but I still feel enraged by the fact they are the only kids whose old cards are not useful for a deck. Like always Frontier sucks. And tbh? Except Rhinokabuterimon, their line cards are disgustingly weak.
Bt18 just convinced me this game isn’t worth my money

  5. not really a fan of RGB hybrids, but I DO intend on strengthening my Mixed Red Hybrid build with some of this stuff, especially EmperorGrey and TakuKoji! Also considering a small Wind Spirit package for consistency/resiliency, and also because more access to Piercing and Raid is always welcome. Namely Piercing, since I feel like with the addition of new Tamers BT17 Takuya will have to go.

  6. This looks like it'll be an interesting deck, I think I will also put Heaven's Judgement into my Zephagamon that way I can weaken my opponents' digimon before I swing into them incase I don't get the power boost from interitables or from Muchomon.
