What is wrong with you people. Russ was the 12th best QB last year. He is well documented to be an abject disaster against 2 deep and man coverage. He has spent his entire career around 10th best in the league, and he just got paid the same as the 2x defending MVP. Since when is giving a QB who is barely top half in the league the highest cap hit in NFL history, for 7 whole years something to celebrate??

Mahomes contract looking like an absolute steal compared to these contracts coming out. Honestly I think the Broncos blew it with this deal. I know there’s desperation for a QB, but Wilson hasn’t been great and has been injury prone last couple seasons. Also, he’s likely the 3rd best QB in the division and the broncos gonna struggle with cap issues now with a past-his-prime qb that will need a lot of team support to keep up with Herbert and Mahomes. They had 3 years of team control…there was no need to rush an extra 5 years on his deal.
