Did Meghan Markle use her dog’s death to promote her Netflix TV show? | Palace Confidential

Meghan Markle’s emotional tribute to her dead dog Guy contained a plug for her new show With Love, Meghan, a move that wasn’t ‘wise’, that’s according to the Daily Mail’s Royal Editor Rebecca English.
‘She used it as a plug for the show, why I’ll be honest made me feel, personally quite uncomfortable,’ she told the show ‘I’m just not sure that was a wise thing to do.’

Hear what she and the rest of our panel had to say in the new episode of Palace Confidential.

The paper’s Richard Eden meanwhile reveals the intriguing reason why Palace officials want With Love, Meghan to succeed and it ISN’T because they all want to sit around watching it with popcorn.

Meanwhile, the Mail on Sunday’s Royal Correspondent Natasha Livingstone reflects on Thomas Markle’s revealing new interview where he discusses moving to the Far East and how he still hears nothing from his daughter.

Plus we wish Happy Birthday to Catherine, the Princess of Wales and look ahead to what 2025 will hold for her and the rest of the royals as she continues her recovery.

  1. I know this is repetitive, I just wish the panel would spend ( much) less time on the Sussexes and more on the other real working members – after all they have been out and about actually working and being Royal. All the comments about M&H are all discussed, at least in part, elsewhere but there is much too little about people like prince Edward and Sophie, Princess Anne and other. Maybe their work is too "confidential" for this channel 🤔

  2. Love you guys but Man I can’t wait till Harry’s lawsuit is over with against the paper so there will be some genuine criticism against Meghan’s hypocritical show!!!! You’re being far to gracious

  3. She released the dog story the day before Princess Kate’s birthday to divert attention from the Princess’s birthday. IMO that’s a no brainer and totally a Meghan Markle thing to do since she hates the Princess.

  4. I’m American. The way you all talk on this show about Harry and his wife makes me believe you are terrified of being sued. You’ve no problem ripping Andrew to shreds.

  5. Will the Monarchy survive without the Church of England? Will the Church of England survive without the Monarchy? Will the CofE even survive with its betrayal of Scripture? The King's speech showed that he is not a Scripturally based Christian , so where is it a going?

  7. Parliament approval is needed to remove anyone from LOS and Councilors of State. The UK has more pressing problems and taking up Parliament’s time to solve family problems of rich, entitled people only gives the Republicans more ammunition.

  8. The Royal Family does a great deal to highlight the admirable work of people and organisations in all walks of life.
It would be interesting and valuable to hear from the recipients regarding the impact on them.

  9. That is the great thing about Catherine – she does not obsess over what she wears or what the newspapers think of her look – she obsesses, if you can call it that, over her family and over helping in her passion projects – early childhood development, cancer victims / families / survivors. She is just a genuinely lovely human being.

  10. I didn’t mind the trailer so much as her voice over; she talks about kindness and forgiveness and joy and love & still treats her dad and husband’s family so terribly. She made it public.
