Diablo 3 just announced a massive PTR with 2.7.6: Solo-Self-Found is now a SEPERATE game mode and separate Leadboards for PARAGON CAPPED participants now exist. A few balance changes and REWORKED Area Damage?? CRAZY!

Meh. I love D3 and really liked season 28 but not that impressed with the PTR notes from what I read. Hopefully there's more to come.

maybe they are using d3 to test future features for D4 without making D4 players feel like guinea pigs
MFW diablo 3 seasonal content is more thought out than D4s, why?
It's great but I'd like more set changes. Cpt america change seems fun but that's another season without WD for me sadly.
They waited until Diablo 4 came out before an update I wanted for D3 released. Neat
Makes me hopeful for wow classic hc and more focus on SSF as well.
D3 is the game Ive played for the longest, even more than D2 which I played for years. Its always remained on my PC as something to drop into, play and get out of and its been GREAT. D4 was such a letdown, I'm glad D3 is not just being maintained but actively being developed.
Paragon cap shouldnt be there unless there is a mode/leaderboard with unlimited cap. Taking away player choices is not a good thing

Notice how they added a small "fix" to the altar of rites UI at the end, seems kinda unnecesary at first… but what if this means the altar is gonna stay??
Im just imagining all the botters/people that bought accounts at 20k paragon being surprised pikachus
i like the ideas. but if you take away something you have to add something new. the new part is missing for longterm motivation. right now it looks like entertainment for 1 weekend.
while SSF is obviously better, it's still going to be gamed by people using 3rd party addons, botting, and whatever. Even with para cap they'll just be botting for mats/rolls/etc. still going to play to see where i add up without the obvious 24/7 group para bots infesting solo ladder with their high gems and minmaxed gear, but not deluded enough to think this doesn't maintain an advantage to cheaters

id like to have the paragon cap mode without solo self found, but its still cool
Why is solo self found a big deal? The game has already been SSF for most players. Most players are not aiming for the highest efficiency like the top 1% having full groups and sharing equipment. This is nothing new to regular players.
Diablo 4 is a dumpster fire right now. Everything about the fixes we get is always too little and too late. It was my most anticipated game in the recent 2 years, and it has become my biggest disappointment. I still think it might be a great game in a year or two, but I have honestly uninstalled it once I finished all the battle pass I already paid for. Diablo 3 is the game I have put the single most amount of hours into across all games all platforms if you remove World of Warcraft which I played for 12 years. I love to see Diablo 3 getting some love in the final patch.
Isn't the paragon ceiling a gigantic nerf for people have played it for years?
Insane all they have to do now is get rid of the set bonuses and rebalance the scaling numbers in GRs ( well and create some new content for the game ) . D3 is now 1 expansion and 1 balance patch away from becoming a great game . Better late than never i guess .
I HOPE the paragon limit is only season, as part of MY enjoyment is trying to get higher and higher Paragon, but I feel they will add it to the non-seasonal.I only have about 1600 Paragon n my NON seaonaal and to NErf it would be a deal breaker. and I will leave the game and getting them took me aobut 5 seasons

waited for several years for D4 to come out just to go back to play D3, Diablo 4 is the biggest let down. Oh well at least Poe league starts on friday 🙂

prevent bots? botters will always have an advantage, even with paragon cap, if the aim is to find gear they will always be able to grind more than anyone else

What a impressive failure D4 have been..
Gr150 gonna be hard as hell even if you put all 200 points in hp mobs still gonna oneshot you. Then we use mainstat to get the dps up there to actually do dmg in gr150. I wonder how gr150 will be possible with only 200 available in core.
how is the paragon ceiling going to work? is core also only going to be able to get 800 points? im not a good player at all and trying my hardest to finally beat a 150gr, in season 28 im playing tal rasha wizard, im currently 2800 paragon and the highest ive been able to clear so far is 148, i think my gear is pretty decent too so its definately a skill issue. with the new paragon ceiling is that going to make it basically impossible for me to clear high rifts now? because if i cant clear a 150 with 1900 paragon in my main stat, how would that be possible with 400-800. like i said i know its a skill issue im terrinle at the game. this patch just sounds like a massive nerf to us noob gamers
they introduce a lvl cap right when d4 is out, after 10 years of complaining about having no endgame?
the only thing I don't like is the level cap, getting a high level is part of the fun ….. stops at 800 …. might be a few days of fun but not sure
So how should 150 solo be cleared? No Altar, (almost) no reworked sets, no Paragon boost. Just go full area dmg and hope boss with powerpylon is killed in like 6-8 Minutes lol ? Am I missing something?
