  1. Sorry, but the people who post the timestamp and optimized settings videos amazing for people like me who already watched the video before purchasing (glad I did on Callisto protocol) and just want to see optimized settings when messing around with settings after getting a game.

  2. Nope, never paying $70 for any base game. I got a back catalog and a bit of patience. I'm not supporting increased corporate profit margins. Video games are profitable af. Prices did not need to go up. I call bs.

  3. All converging to UE5 will lead to similar looking games. I don't know why cdprojekt leaves Red Engine behind, given they already have it optimized for current gen with cyberpunk dlc and the witcher 3 next gen patch.

  4. Alex was praying for Returnal to come out on PC and he is getting his wish. But the game is using Unreal Engine. I am genuinely worried about his mental health, because that is the game that could break him.

  5. I was curious and checked Markiplier's gameplay of The Calisto Protocol, and instantly noticed some terrible stutters. TBH, I wouldn't be able to play the game in that state, especially knowing it's running that way on a monster PC.

  6. I like the idea of the 'fake YouTube thumbs'. It reminds me of the very similar images of the guys in Zzap64 beside their reviews back in the late 80's. I think they did YouTube thumbnails decades before YouTube existed.

I miss those event moments too. They are going away but the most recent moment was when GoW Ragnarok released. I stood outside and other gamers were excited too. Reminded me of MW2 (2009) release day.

  8. Games are NOT worth $60+ dollars anymore because you never get a complete game or you get a bug addled game. When they start releasing games with enough content that is not buggy and doesn't require further downloading then and ONLY then will they be worth that much. I never buy games at full price anymore. I have enough patience(game backlog a mile long) to wait for them to fix their games and bring the prices down.

  9. Big L from John saying Kojima predicted the future. That’s such a vile, surface level take. Did armored core also predict the future? Have you played any post apocalyptic game that doesn’t involve zombies before? It’s all pretty standard stuff I wouldn’t stroke Kojima’s frighteningly big ego anymore

  10. Of course the bargain which is Game Pass will come to an end, but what a deal to pay $80 with sale prices for a year of the service. As long as you play just 2 games in a year, you’re saving money. Then you can buy a game you played on the service to keep at a big discount down the road.

  11. So Xbox has around 25 million Games Pass subscribers, but I assume they have way more active consoles. So there are still quite a lot of consoles with no Games Pass sub so I do think this can affect those people.

  12. I can't accept paying 70 dollars for triple-A games that are bugged, broken, unfinished, of stuttering upon release. If they want to charge that much, the games need to be of good quality.

  13. As long as the subscriber has Game Pass for $15 bucks a month it like they're paying for a New game every 5 months guaranteed on XBOX end.

Before Game pass they might not have bought a game in those five months.

  14. I've abandoned Callisto Protocol, after about 6 hours in the game, it seems dull beyond words – and some of its instant enemy attacks without warning are cheap. I regret buying it. Maybe later I'll come back for more dull trudging through identikit hallways, hallways, hallways, hallways, hallways on my PS5.

  15. Glad to hear Digital Foundry have an actual realistic and reasonable take on game prices. It's absurd to expect games to constantly get better and more expensive to make, without the price changing at all, especially considering inflation

  16. Where the heck is Witcher 3 next gen update review. Pc port has some really interesting stuff to go through.. and I don't mean as a good thing. Dx12 version is a mess as performance wise and dx11 version has pretty bad stuttering and frame pacing..

  17. 28:20 If you ask me: compared to other Tripple A Open World Games (like Witcher 3, Horizon Forbidden West etc.) Forspoken looks… boring. Rocks, A LOT of gras and a couple Trees… Thats it. Even the original Witcher 3 looks a lot more interesting.

  18. What is the ratio of sales these days digital vs disc?
In my opinion discs doesn't make any sense anymore. You need to update a fresh bought game with a full download (40/50/60GB) because of a day 1 patch anyways. Discs have a horrible carbon foot print (very retro there Dark1X, also sad and not understandable to me) compared to digital.

  19. I wish ps5 and series X were just called next gen for sometime at least until the ps4 switch and Xbox one consoles are well and truly phased out. It just makes more sense to me. Bc otherwise the phrase next gen will only be relegated to theoretical new technologies while we wait for them to materialize
