Frontline reporters Richard Pendlebury and Jamie Wiseman drive to New York, a small town in Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast that shares its name with The Big Apple. What they don’t know is that only 24 hours after their visit, it will find itself brutally attacked and on the verge of capture by Russian forces.

  1. You have to remember alot of these civilians remaining in towns actually support the russians and are waiting for them. Obviously they're not going to advertise that fact. Some won't want to be filmed talking to ukraine soldiers for fear of the russians seeing the video and then be accused of being colaborators.

  3. Dammit I hope that woman is okay :/ I have a special spot in my heart for older people. It kills me that's they're always the last ones to leave and usually by then it's too late.

  4. @ 11:57 she says "I'm 39, it was my birthday" I'm pretty sure she's not claiming she's 39 years old. I think she's saying she was born in '39 which would make her 84 years old which makes much more sense. Probably just lost in translation.

  5. Jens Stoltenberg said Russia is enemy in 2020. Vladimir Zelensky said we want joint in NATO. Vladimir Putin said this war is inevitable.

This makes sense. They wanted to drive Russia into a corner and Russia started a war. Are russians bad? I don't think so. Everyone in their place started a war.

  6. It's a major failing of the government if the people who escaped came back to their besieged village/town due to lack of support elsewhere in Ukraine.
