Overnight has seen monster storms dump months worth of rainfall for some locations across Queenslands South East, with heavy rainfall extending across much of the sunshine coast up into the Capricorna districts as well with heavy falls and powerful storms up across Rockhampton as well. More storms are now on the forecast.

We've had sporadic rain for the past two days. A couple of big rain cells in amongst them. Strangely, the official rainfall figures are far below what we got up on the Ridge here. (North Arm).
Give it 24-48hrs

We’re 45 mins west of Bundy, the storms went around us, only got a bit of lightning and thunder and 10 mm of rain in the gauge, was hoping for more cos it’s pretty dry out here at the moment, be nice to top up the tanks too.

Buderim Sunshine Coast, Midday 10/10/23. As what seems normal weather behavior, we didn't get the worst of the thunderstorms. However the rain started around 8pm last night and is still continuing.
Of course what we are getting is nothing compared to what some of our American cousins are currently enduring.

Bit of a clarification. Aust. cat 5 = 10 minute of more than 280K. US Saffir cat 5 = 1 minute of more than 252 K. So mid 4 here is low 5 there. Milton ? People saying they should invent cat 6 for it, sorry but I never saw it, cat 3 at worst.
