  1. sweatcicle is just violet haired soyboi, maybe today he doesnt have his liberal feminazi hair color, but brain damage is for life. still i would love to have option to ban people, cos on bungo block is simply mute, and people i dont want to play again in my life, still can join me and waste my time. no i dont want them banned in game, i simply dont want ever play with them.

  2. I think Sweat's point is that these idiots make the game's community look even worse than it already is. He had a bad take about what to do about it, but I don't think it's necessary to make the video's title and thumbnail about him when that isn't what the video is really addressing

  3. I really think it's time we admit the fact that this toxicity is Bungies fault. They actively promote so many things that fosters this type of toxicity, from unfair and unbalanced PVP to a mode literally based around greifing other players, to making their game so unbalanced people get kicked from raids because they don't have the right load out. They have the in game cash shop which no question has better looking ornaments then anything else in the game, creating a "paid player" and "unpaid player" look that can plainly be seen by anyone, Destiny has always been an "us vs them" game. Bungie did this, now they have to suffer the consequences of having a really shit community.

  4. Bungie is so fucking trash and the streamers that are definitely using D2 as a cash cow defend them like any of these "threats" mean anything. Bungie will literally do anything and everything except work on the game.

  5. (I miss the old Times when toxicity never existed in D2's history nor D1-it was all just fun In games-when game creators actually cared about people and there own video games too_I miss those times the most_when there was joy in both games_but that time has been left behind and then toxicity happened)

  6. Imagine playing a game where you kill a god, skin it, make a weapon and get offended at "take a long walk off a short pier". That's not harassment, that's a turn of phrase. I agree with you, just a poor example. With twitter being the center of attention they have people actually telling devs to kill themselves just outright.

  7. "They stopped cheating through legality"

I mean, that's one method. There are companies where their bread is literally making cheats, it's like a warfare making an anticheat and them going over it. It's not really a fair take.

  8. My god, would you shut up about ff14 already? „Destiny is a glorified mobile game” ok? And you’re a glorified salt miner. That’s all you do, go „waaaah, destiny 2 bad, me no likey!” every week and the money flows in. You know you should quit since it’s clear you don’t like the game anymore but you can smell the money and just can’t help yourself. So don’t go talking about how d2 devs are soulless, have no passion, are ripping off their audience, etc, etc. You’re no better.

  9. Actually, I'd have to disagree with "harassment".

My "personal definition" of it is "excessive hostility over a continued period of time". I don't include "one off" situations like someone telling me to "go take a long walk off a short pier". If they message me every single day telling me that… then we get into "harassment" territory in my book.

But… I'm honestly a lot more tolerant and realistic than most people and rarely ever have my feelings hurt. Especially since I often think, "Yeah, someone just said that to me because they're upset".

I've even received a DM from someone that was like non-stop insults and threats using what they thought was personal information (like my address, which they got wrong, since all they were doing was a silly IP search). It was a pretty lengthy post. My reply to it was, "thanks for the feedback, I hope you have a great day". Then, I moved along and didn't even think about it. What were they upset about? I have no idea. It was basically 2000 words of how I'm terrible, stupid, etcetera. A litany of insults with no premise or reasoning for why I was those things.

I mean, what do you even do with that? I bin it and don't worry about it. Why? Because it's just children, more often than not, really angry, and that's the best they can come up with for "hurting you" and that's all. It's the same as using slurs. Big whoop.

I have thicker skin than most because when told "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" as a child, I took it seriously.

So, no, I don't consider "someone told me to walk off a pier" as any form of Harassment what-so-ever. That's a nonsensical stance to take. Persistent and excessive hostility from a single person though? Yeah, I consider that harassment.

But, that's just me. Thicker skin. I don't let my emotions get in the way of the way I live my life. Nor do I let others dictate the way I feel.
