Destiny 2: Mars Returns And So Do Snowball Strikes

It’s just week 2 but the calendar has forced Destiny 2 to begin its holiday event, The Dawning. That means big story things and big event things on the same day. Focused mainly on the heist and Rasputin stuff for now, full Dawning look soon.

  1. Bungie – “everything that returns from the content vault will be entirely free” HAHA LIES

Oh if you listen to the story we go back to a different point in time through a time rift to steal a copy of Charlemagne that’s why the room is a different but the fucking pyramid ship is still there 😂 😂 😂

  2. all destinations have been free to explore since the game went f2p. so in reality, you only payed for 2 strikes, a short campaign, a raid lair, adventures, and exotics that are now also free. so saying "i already payed for mars" is not a valid argument since it was free. complaining about mars being used for a battleground is like complaining about the moon or earth being used as a battleground. they are activities that reuse areas of a destination that you have to pay for. even if mars was still in the game, you'd still have to pay for it. so you might as well complain about every seasonal activity. and as bungie has already stated many times before, the reason they cant just bring back a destination is because they have to remake it from scratch because of the game engine update. i wouldn't be surprised if we get mars back sometime in lightfall since they've brought so much of it back already.

  3. I do wanna point out that one of the Revision Zero "metal orbs" is on the planet
While that stuff doesnt stay for past a season, its definitely in the realm of possibility that Mars comes back.
I guess its just more a case of "Why" or "What for".
Is there any significant content (No, not EP) thats worth the time bringing it back?

  4. Kelgorath was the knight who was hunting Techeuns in the Ascendant Plane back in Season of the Lost. We fought him a number of times as he grew stronger and stronger, being resurrected by some sort of Hive magic each time. The glaive is named after him. We fought him the final time during the exorcism of Savathun’s worm.

  5. Really glad to see things from D2 coming out of the DCV. I feel like proving to players that the DCV is temporary storage and not a graveyard for old content is really important to community morale.

  6. Here's hoping it comes out of the vault proper, and not as bad joke like the leviathan. Would be nice to visit Mars for the first time.

May the DCV advocates seeth and cry and be ignored.

  7. From the mission dialog I thought we were going back to the opening area of the WQ campaign with all those half open portals viewing what Mars looked like during the golden age. I thought that space was really well done and a shame it was used only for that first mission then never seen again. Similar to fighting on the surface of the Almighty with the sun raining lava down on you, some of the coolest spaces are often underused.

  8. THis Heist was pretty nostalgic, from returning to the Braytech Futurescape, to fighting Kalgorath who is the major Hive boss from Season Of The Lost, to Charlemagne. Here's my headcanon, with Mars restord and the temporal anomalies there, with Rasputin no longer in the Mindlab, Charlamagne took over and reconstructed much of th interior, only for the Hive to infest the place again.

  9. battlegrounds becoming strikes is stupid, and the fact that PvE even is getting shafted on content so ferocioulsy that youve become accustomed to being fucked as well as PvP has is showing how good bungie is at psychologically manipulating all you lobotomized drones.

how about ask for actual content? how about you ask for strikes back that were taken instead of shoving glorified public events into the strike playlistt?

or dont i dont give a shit anymore. the game will be lucky to make it till lightfal

  11. Now that you mention it…we were “suppose” to go back to the past, but when you look at it, Mars looks like a modern version of what it’s suppose to look like currently. HUH
Bungie you couldn’t make Mars look more restored or untouched by time for the sake of consistency? Ugh…”Mars is back, they won’t notice the difference 😃“ Just like we didn’t notice the Exo Stranger’s voice change— Or maybe she wasn’t speaking British enough or forgot in the recording. Either way, cutting corners is skeevy. Cease. Fruit was right, this is definitely Season of the Filler…think I’ll take my exotic pulse next week and just wait for Lightfall, game is just a inconsistent snooze fest now
