Destiny 2 Lore – When Sloane was captured by Xivu Arath, this is how Ahsa saved her.

Destiny 2’s Lore and Story from the Season of the Deep tells us about how Ahsa saved Sloane from Xivu Arath. During her time on Titan Sloane was captured by the Hive God of War and was about to be killed by her taken and Hive forces. The Proto-Worm God Ahsa attacked and was able to escort Sloane and her ghost away before disaster ensued.

  1. Is the footage sped up or are you just moving that fast jeez. I haven't played in years bcz my ex broke my Xbox and I haven't bought a new one. I've tried buying and getting back into it twice but end up returning the console for the money I was down bad. So I can't get back into it even if I play at my friends, it just doesn't Interest me anymore. But I still keep up with the lore. Spent all these years keeping up with it I'll atleast continue to do that

  2. What’s really important to note is even though both Sloan and asha have suffered through their suffering and pain has come something good, which directly what witness believes, the witness believes that existence is suffering but what it lacks is the wisdom and understanding to know that suffering can be used for something good. The witness lacks wisdom to understand this and through its own selfish and naïve reasoning believes “nothing” will save us all.

  3. So I'm thinking, with the Veil Containment log this week…
On second thought, that may be close to spoilers. I'll wait for a video on it!
I'm full of speculation, and I'm quite excited.

  4. I really hope Sloane doesn't get x'ed off like Amanda in a few seasons, I feel like she has had some really great character development- which has been one of the better parts of this season. Seeing her get fleshed out into a complex character with deep regrets alongside (literal and metaphorical) scars from her time on Titan, before/ after its re-emergence is something that could be leveraged especially closer to final shape and our guardian inevitably following The Witness.

  5. I wish they would make this back story more of a focus, it’s great that she is back and everything, but like a recount of her experience, in depth. I would pay for that as extra content

  6. Does anyone else see the similar plotline from that episode of Stargate Atlantis where the whales were causing brain aneurysms trying to warn the humans about a solar flare and the psychic whale story mentioned here?

  7. 1:41 the fact that all of these time fluctuations have to do with Ahsa can not be mere coincidence. It is statistically improbable. Ahsa may have been the one to cause them because she wanted to.

  8. A true bond, forged by fire within the methane ocean. The payoff for this could be big, especially since we have to strike a deal with Immaru to revive Savathûn just to give chase after the Witness. Much like having some other tales recommended for some animated videos, this tale could be one of its own as well.

  9. I guess that “leviathan” we saw was Ahsa this entire time. That’s a great way to unfold a mystery people were wondering about since the release of destiny 2.,

  10. I know that Ahsa was there to save Sloane, but Síocháin was ready to just up and fight the Leviathan twice without hesitation. Bigger balls than the Traveler on that Ghost.

  11. It’s pretty scary to imagine what Sloan had endured on a Titan overrun with darkness, Taken, Hive, and Warthborn. In a strange way, Sloan’s situation of survival on Titan before it had returned to Sol, reminds me of the final mission of Halo Reach, where Noble 6’s only objective, is to survive. While a Guardian has more power, endurance, and longevity than a Spartan, no warrior can outlast an onslaught of seemingly endless enemies alone.

  12. For the first time watching your videos I finished the video feeling angry and resentful… I was playing destiny while watching and I don't know many other games that can have me feeling worse playing them AND listening to that games specific lore as opposed to just listening to that games lore.

  13. The way Ahsa just wants "to be known", is a really interesting mirror/parallel to how the Worm Gods require tribute. It's almost like the worms' ability to thrive/live/exist relies on being acknowledged in some way, and making bonds is a key part of this. Ahsa makes a bond with Sloane, much like the Hive and their Worms have a bond, and via tribute this bond extends to the Worm Gods. The bond of the proto-worms seems like it is made with love, possibly more symbiotic, but in their transformation to Worm Gods this was twisted to become a vicious bond, more parasitic.

Then there's Ahsa diving into an "ascendant dream" and taking Sloane along for the ride, which might be linked to the ability to Take, as that involves ripping an individual from the material universe and plunging them into the Ascendant Realm.

The Worm Gods are like a dark and violent mirror of the (potentially benevolent) proto-worms.
