Destiny 2 Final Shape introduces friendly HIVE! Specifically, Luzaku! Luzaku first featured in the lore during the Witch Queen campaign, and I actually covered Luzaku at that time, thinking we could get friendly hive in the future. The thing is I don’t believe it was really Sundance that Cayde spoke to. She says “I’m what you wanted me to be.” Meaning because Cayde imagined having Sundance there that’s the image this entity took on. I believe he was actually speaking to the traveler using Sundance’s image to speak to him.

31:30 is REALLY interesting. bungie is definitely setting big things up with micah, crow and "speaker" aligned characters. one of the visions of the traveler for the khvostov quest – which is directly from the point of view of the traveler – addresses the speakers, includes crow and micah among them, and uses this exact phrase, this "waves lapping at a distant shore." the fact this exact phrase being used to describe her has now shown up not only from THE TRAVELER, but also from luzaku means that this is something we should keep an eye on going forward.

Lets be honest here, knowing how Bungie operates theyll probably have her get killed by Savathun towards the ending of the Heresy episode just so we hate her again
I believe one reason Savathun is open to Luzaku choosing her own path and even allying with the Coalition cause it ensures a future for the Hive. If her plan works the hive lives, if it fails Luzaku will help ensure the hive lives on, ensuring her people live on regardless of who wins. Of course i could be wrong and there is something more going on, but I feel like given how she has been, this fits well with her motives.
i do hope they add more characters like this for the other factions so we have more than one or two faction representatives that we can interact with, also i think theres a mara sov interaction too

Luzaku is an awesome character. The way she talks is so soothing and wise after all the fighting during the sector.
If anyone hurts Luzaku, the Smollen or the Warbeast Pups I will go full Torabatal on the Sol System and then on myself. They are all too precious to harm.
Would be cool if Gotra returned as a Lucent Hive and became friendly with us. For those who don't know, Gotra is the "that wizard came from the moon" wizard.
